You might wonder about the name of the apartment – the Bun Penny was the name of a former public house which was on the site of the apartment block. Whilst the pub was well known to locals, it became known nationwide after David Walliams and Matt Lucas of Little Britain fame filmed a number of ‘Edwardian Lady’ sketches in the pub. Herne Bay is a fantastic coastal town, originally built by the Victorians for the London day trippers, hence the gorgeous Victorian architecture of the Captain’s houses on the seafront.
