It is located near Hampton Pier on the western side of Herne Bay which is a pleasant walk along the sea-front path to the centre of town for shops, cinema, restaurants, theatre and various sporting facilities. Herne Bay is located on the North Kent Coast just eight miles north of the historic City of Canterbury. A short 3 minute walk down our road, and you'll be on the beach and sea front parade.brWe are on the bus route into Canterbury which takes approx 35-45mins, or in the other direction Whitstable in 20mins. You might wonder about the name of the apartment – the Bun Penny was the name of a former public house which was on the site of the apartment block. Whilst the pub was well known to locals, it became known nationwide after David Walliams and Matt Lucas of Little Britain fame filmed a number of ‘Edwardian Lady’ sketches in the pub. Herne Bay is a fantastic coastal town, originally built by the Victorians for the London day trippers, hence the gorgeous Victorian architecture of the Captain’s houses on the seafront.
