It also features a fully equipped open plan kitchen/ lounge, one comfortable bedroom and a well maintained tiled bathroom.brbrThe bedroom contains a double bed and the living area contains a comfortable single bed which can be used as a day bed during the day. With a pop out single bed on a frame on wheels underneath too!brbrThe warm and welcoming open plan living area contains a comfortable sofa and dining table. The space is flooded with natural light throughout the day!brbrOther things to notebrPlease be aware that I use the flat myself twice a month when I come to Canterbury to visit my children, who are at boarding school in the town. I bought it during Covid times when it was very complicated for us to stay in hotels, and my children and I love having somewhere to stay within walking distance of the river and all the shops. The flat is available during the week and many weekends and holidays too - basically whenever we’re not there ourselves. For the moment there isn’t a TV in the flat as I like to make the most of every moment with my children to chat, cook or play games together, but if you wish to watch films then just bring your own laptop or iPad and connect to the WIFI.brbrSupermarketsbrLocal newsagent is just across the road, and there's a great fish and chip shop almost next door! Aldi is just minutes away, Waitrose is less than a mile away around the ring road and Sainsbury's just a little bit further.brbrLocal Restaurants brCanterbury town centre is less than a 10 minute walk away via the Dane John Gardens, with all the usual high street shops, bars and restaurants.brbrLocal Attractions brThe Westgate Gardens are a lovely starting point for a walk along the Great Stour, stopping by the wonderful Toddler Cove playground if you have small children. Just go out of the flat, turn right, go left past Aldi along the ring road and there's a path off to the left that joins the river.
