Stayed Jan 3, 1As outstanding as the accommodation and location are it's very important to say, parking access was not suitable for our low slung car and it grounded out. The host, on hand, acted with swiftness and found a solution, however, if we returned we'd contact the hosts first to ascertain if an alternative parking plan was possible prior to arrival. Hosting was fantastic and although the carriage is in a garden, accessed via a side gate, it felt very private and had its own garden area. I had been concerned, it being February the carriage might be a bit chilly. This was not the case, the radiator in the living area offering plenty of heat. We didn't use the wood burning stove. Linen, towels and crockery were of high quality. The modern, short, slipper bath was lovely and there was always hot water. There was enough storage for clothing, with extra underbed storage too. We used the underbed storage to tidy away the extra blankets and decorative cushions. We didn't cook, eating out all the time - so much choice within Canterbury, (do book) but the kitchen was well planned and offered full size fridge with ice box, oven, hob, microwave and large sink. There was also space and seating to allow the worktop to be used as a desk area. The seating offering in the main living/sleeping area was slightly different to that in the photos - no sofa and two tub chairs. Chair placement would have made watching TV challenging. Watching from in bed/resting against the bedhead, felt too far from the screen. It truly was a perfect stay for the city of Canterbury and all it had to offer.

Stayed Jan 3, 1We had a very pleasant stay in the lovely renovated train carriage. The owners are very helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome. The small garden is nice and quiet for a morning coffee or evening drink. The center of Canterbury is only a 20 min walk and is well worth a visit.

Stayed Jan 1, 1Plumcot Halt is a really charming accomodation based. on an old railway goods carriage. It has been converted to an exceptionally high spec and the furnishings and decor are first class. We wanted for nothing, it is really well equipped and the small space has been used really well. As a base for exploring Canterbury (20 min walk to the city centre) it is perfect. A great enclosed garden area for our dog meant we could let her outside without worrying. Would highly recommend.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Plumcot Halt is a really well designed, cosy house, making the most of the space. Comfortable bed, very well equipped kitchen and lovely, top quality soft furnishings. Spotlessly clean. We were made very welcome, as was our dog. There is plenty of information about walks, places to go, restaurants etc. We had a lovely, relaxing, peaceful stay and hope to return.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969To stay in an old railway coach is very special, and Plumcot Halt has been lovingly renovated into the quirky, cosy place it is today. Loved everything about it, comfortable, cosy, with all you need to totally relax. Very well maintained and equipped, especially in the kitchen. Spotlessly clean , very comfortable bed, and crisp bed linen. Pretty outside garden and fruit trees, added to the unique property. Only 20 minute walk to city, and able to walk to the Spifire ground to watch county cricket, {Michael and Theresa routed us across fields, and through orchards - great !!} Hosts so friendly and helpful with local advice for our stay. Thankyou ! Only down side was when we had to leave. Would love to visit again. Also excellent value .

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I had won a nights stay here through an event I was going to. I wish I could've spent more time at Plumcot Halt as it was just beautiful. The garden is wonderful and peaceful and the accomodation was fantastic. We were only there to sleep really but the place was very well kitted out with everything you could need and more. The owners were very friendly and accomodating. We will definitely choose to stay here again and take in all that this place has to offer. It's an oasis right on the edge of the city. Perfect.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Plumcott was not suitable for me due to being disabled. That was my fault and no reflection on Plumcott. Host’s were brilliant.
