After upgrading both baths, kitchen, floors, and HVAC, we decided to move to Delaware and retire in a larger home in the area. brbrThat means our beautiful first-floor place is yours to enjoy: Sleeps 4-6 in two bedrooms (primary bedroom with queen bed and en suite bathroom, second bedroom with twin beds) plus a queen sleeper sofa, new walk-in tiled showers with glass doors (no bathtub), dishwasher, cooktop, microwave/convection oven, and a large private deck overlooking Sea Colony's Swan Pond. Freshly painted.brbrSea Colony's world-class tennis center (over 30 indoor/outdoor courts including dedicated pickleball courts) is across the street. Walk to 12 pools, playgrounds, Fitness Center (basketball, indoor lap pool, machines, fitness classes) and Sea Colony's private half-mile beach. Or take the shuttle (in season) to the beach. Enjoy biking, walking trails, and fishing. At night, there are great sunsets and a variety of local restaurants, mini golf, and ice cream shops. Rehoboth Beach and Ocean City, MD, are close by. Or, stay in, watch the 55-inch TV and relax on the deck. The location provides a quiet retreat, while being close and convenient to the action.brbrWe’re on the ground level of a two-story building. The fully-equipped kitchen features granite countertops and a deluxe beverage center that was installed where the conventional oven used to be. There are plenty of options for cooking: large microwave/convection oven, oversized toaster/broiler, or cooktop. Coffeemaker is a Keurig.brbrReliable Comcast internet and cable TV and a beautiful deck on Sea Colony's Swan Pond make relaxing or working remotely a breeze!brbrBRING YOUR OWN LINENS (bed, bath & beach + sheets and towels), beach chairs, and bikes. All guests over four years old must purchase a weekly Sea Colony recreation badge (2026: $15 from January 1-March 31; $20 from April 1-May 8; $35 from May 9-June 5; $58 from June 6-September 11; $35 from September 12-October 16; $20 from October 17-March 31, 2027; or whatever rates are in effect). Sea Colony is the premier family beach and tennis resort community located in Bethany Beach, Delaware. brbrWe purchased this condo in 2019 and started listing it on VRBO in 2021. We manage this ourselves and not through a large management company. brbrThis is in the Island House building and offers stunning, unobstructed views of the ocean and beach from the living room and master bedroom. This is the last building in the complex and has the least crowded beach area. The 1/2 mile long private beach and multiple swimming pools are steps away from the elevator. brbrThere are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms that can accommodate up to 6 guests. In 2022, we replaced all of the carpeting with luxury vinyl plank flooring, removed the wallpaper and painted the master bedroom and installed new closet doors in each bedroom. brbrThe Master bedroom has a king size bed and furniture which was purchased in 2020, flatscreen smart TV with xfinity, and private bathroom with tub and shower. The bathroom also has the washer/dryer there. The wallpaper in the room was removed and fully painted in 2022. This room offers beautiful views of the ocean - fall asleep to the sounds of the waves!brbrThe second bedroom has a queen size bed and smart flatscreen TV with xfinity. Both lamps have USB ports built right into them for easy charging. This room was freshly painted in 2020. brbrThe third bedroom has two twin size beds and a flatscreen TV with xfinity. Both lamps and nightstand have USB ports built right into them for easy charging as well. This room was freshly painted in 2026. brbrThe kitchen is spacious and stocked with plenty of items needed for cooking. Our condo has a main bedroom (1 queen), a guest bedroom (2 twins), a den with a sleeper sofa, a closable pocket door that converts it into a 3rd bedroom, a loft with 3 twin beds, and 2 full baths. The unit has a Washer/Dryer, dishwasher, electric stove/oven, microwave, disposal, coffee maker, and other basic kitchen equipment. Utilities are included as well as free wi-fi throughout and cable TV. Several of our outlets have USB charging ports. We have included several kid-friendly items, including a booster seat, pack ' n ' play, training potty, portable bed rail, toys, games, and books. Linens (sheets, pillow cases, blankets) and towels (1 bath towel per guest) are included with the rental. No beach towels are provided. brbrOur condo is on the West Side of the Sea Colony property, about 0.5 miles from the private beach. The Sea Colony has 3 trams that take tenants from the West Side to the beach side. It's about a 5-10 min ride, and there is a tram stop right outside the condo. The tram runs all day at very frequent intervals (you can download an app to follow it). There are several outdoor pools in the community, including one that is a 2-min walk from the condo. There are 2 indoor pools (one in Edgewater house on the beach side and one in the fitness center about 5 min from our condo on the West Side) for rainy days. The tennis facility is about an 8 min walk from the condo. There are several playgrounds and tennis/pickleball courts around the property. The town of Bethany is less than 1 mile from Sea Colony and offers a boardwalk, restaurants, mini golf, and more. There is a small shopping center about 0.5 miles from the condo with restaurants, a surf shop, an ice cream shop, and a bike rental. brbrTHINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU ARRIVE: brThe Sea Colony Recreational Association charges a per-person resort fee for guests aged 4 and older.
