We want you to feel a part of our home with the addition of lots of space to take time out on your own. brbrThere are six ensuite rooms and two bedrooms that share a bathroom. Five rooms can be made up as twin, or double beds on request. One room has a bunkbed . This changes to just a double bed 2nd April 2024. All ensuites have showers and one has a bath. The shared bathroom has a bath with a shower over it.brbrThe kitchen is the new heart of the home and that’s how we want you to feel at St Marks Stays. Our kitchen is perfect for your self-catering requirements where you can cook together, or have a chef, or caterers come in to create delicious food for you. We provide tea & coffee, seasonings & oils and kitchen equipment so you can cook on the gas hob, electric oven, or learn to use our Aga.brbrOur fabulous dining space is perfect for dinner parties, with large windows and patio doors offering awesome views across the hillside. Lets face it, we're right in the heart of the countryside so you can enjoy your chosen tipple, have a BBQ and then watch the sun go down over the beautiful Howgill Fells, staying warm in the evening around the fire pit and gaze up at the stars due to there being no light pollution.brJoanne and Damian have opened up their home at St Marks Stays for group holidays and retreats. We live in our own self contained apartment at the end of the property, so you will meet us on arrival and sometimes see us passing through the garden, but we leave you to enjoy your stay, unless you need help with anything. The house is in the stunning location between the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. brbrWith the perfect combination of facilities, space and location, St Marks Stays is self-catering and dog friendly. It can sleep up to 16 maximum across 8 bedrooms. There are 6 ensuites and 1 shared bathroom. brbrFive rooms can be made up as twin, or double beds on request. Three bedrooms have double beds. All ensuites have showers and one has a bath. The shared bathroom has a bath with a shower over it.brbrThe kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering for groups. We provide salt, pepper, oil and a starter set of tea and coffee, but no milk. There is a gas Aga, gas hob, double electric oven, microwave, dishwasher and coffee machine.brbrOur long dining space is perfect for dinner parties, with large windows and patio doors offering awesome views across the hillside. There are two lounges and one smart TV with Netflix. There are three log burning stoves and wood is provided for these.brbrThe studio space is for use by retreats and suitable for yoga, or creative workshops. There is yoga kit and tables and chairs. We ask that it is not used as a party, or play room, or slept in please.brbrThe garden has a stock fence around it and views of the Howgill Fells. There is a firepit that doubles as a barbeque. We provide wood, but not cooking coals. There is a cold plunge bath that is free to use. Next to this there is a wood fired sauna that can be booked in advance for a 2 hour slot with a charge for this as we set it up for you. Deadline to book this is 3 months before check in date.brbrThere are walks from the house in to the fells and the book town of Sedbergh is 3 miles away.

Although Drawell Cottage dates from the 17th century, it certainly has the modern comforts expected these days including central heating and a modern kitchenbrbrSet on a typical Cumbrian cattle and sheep farm in its own separate area, this cottage ticks the boxes for couples or families looking for a comfortable property with plenty of outdoor space and great views. It's all about the location here as you have best of all worlds - an 'away from it all' quiet location, a short (10 minute) drive into the town of Sedbergh with all its attractions and great places to eat, loads of walks in superb quiet scenery, and easy access further into the Yorkshire Dales, or the Lake District.brbrEnter into the spacious lounge with a classic Inglenook fireplace, original 17th-century beams and far-reaching views over the countryside spread out before you. Settle down on the comfortable sofas and enjoy the peace and quiet - and when it's time to dine, there is a good-sized dining table to gather around. Just off the lounge is the well-laid-out kitchen which has been recently re-fitted with modern fittings and appliances and also boasts great views for the chef.brbrUpstairs are the two bedrooms, which are both decent sizes. The first bedroom has a king-size bed, fitted carpet, solid oak furniture, a character original beam, and views over the valley. The second bedroom is a twin and again has lovely oak furniture storage.
