Yet is only a short drive to the Grizedale Forest visitors centre and Beatrix Potter’s cottage in Near Sawrey. The nearest villages are Satterthwaite and Oxen Park, both with good pubs. As the crow flies it is 3 miles to Coniston Water and 2 miles to Lake Windermere.
