Fantastic Happy hour. You can get a 36 dollar entree for 16 bucks. It is only about a 100 yard walk.brbrMilargo- Authentic Mexican food and drinks. Smaller place but the food is really goodbrbrWater Street Cafe- Scallops and Duck has been on the menu for over 20 years. Romantic atmosphere. A really nice place.brbrNoah's- You have to take advantage of the specials here. They have a meatloaf on Wednesdays. Lobster on another day. Menu changes daily. Friday breakfast for 6 dollars may be one of the best breakfast in the country. You would happily pay full price here. Other food is amazing also.brbrJust outside the peninsula. (Less than a mile)brbrVelvet Mill (0.7 miles from the property)brbrMany boutique shops. There is a shortcut walk over the railroad tracks.brbrBeard Brewery- go there order a double IPA dogs and boats and thank me later. They have nailed it and have amazing beer. Enough said, except order a pizza at the Pizza place in the Velvet mill and bring it there. It used to be called Woodfellas pizza but changed hands. The pizza is still very good.brbrRum Distiller's- They make their own rum. Have it infused with coconut or mango and bring it to the beach.brbrWhite Crest Eatery- Best kept secret around. They do a international food theme menu for a period of time. You have to check it out. They also now own the pizza place in the mill.brbrZest Bakery- By now you have seriously indulged but need just a little more. Take it home for late night brbrFarmers market also on most weekendsbrbrBeachesbrbrDubois Beach- travel out of the property until the end of the road about 50 yards go through the park and your there at the point. Beautiful place to sit on bench and watch the tide roll in as you can see Watch Hill. Get a coffee for sunrise or a glass off wine for sunset. Charming and Unique Beach and Town Sleeps 7

I've been a Super host on another platform for 9 years and thought I'd give VRBO a try. This is my home, not a hotel- a turn of the century renovated mill house with a private fenced in yard, steps from town, minutes by car to some of the best beaches anywhere. Guests have liked my eclectic design. 7 people can fit comfortably in 4 bedrooms (1 king, 1 full, 2 twins in one bedroom, 1 twin in another= 7). Plus parlor, kitchen, living and dining areas. Well behaved pets are welcome. Beach chairs provided. Each bedroom air-conditioned. The nearby towns of Westerly, RI (walking distance) and Stonington, CT have been rated Best Small Town Living. Winery, aquarium (in Mystic-10 minutes down I95), great restaurants and bars. The property is located in a unique residential and commercial zone, so there's a shared driveway (great neighbors)-please be sure to park your cars to the left closest to the house (as you're facing the river and boat builder's compound). Yep, there's a train that runs regularly, and church bells that chime. Some road and sidewalk traffic-this is not a country home. But you have the whole house, lots of privacy, (if I'm in town I live in the tiny studio connected through a passageway and locked door located in the pink bedroom) and access to friendly, walkable small -town living, with the most amazing beaches a short drive away. Wonderful Westerly has grown leaps and bounds in the past few years, but kept its small town charm--with new restaurants, bars, bakeries, nearby cafe's, kayaking and biking, the brilliantly beautiful Wilcox Park and library, and the United Theater offering music, films, dance-the jewel in the crown. All a 7-10 minute walk around the corner. OH, and music lovers, don't forget the Knickerbocker! And the Frosty Drew Observatory! The casinos are less than 20 minutes away, closest vineyard/winery about 7 minutes down the road towards Stonington. Or go up RT1 in Rhode Island for Newport, Naragansett, Misquamicut...We have the best of both states right here in Pawcatuck (Stonington). Beer lovers Try Grey Sail, also 'just around the corner'. Yes, there are ghost tours, festivals almost every summer weekend, and, if you check out my reviews on the 'other' platform, this seems to be quite a cozy but expansive, 'charming and unique' stay for all concerned.brPS: yay for compost recycling--new garbage small bin -the green one for food scraps (no Tomahawk bones please)-please put that green bag on TOP of regular garbage in the BROWN bin outside; bottles, cans, cardboard in the BLUE bin. FYI, Garbage night is THURSDAY (pick up at 6am Friday) -just yellow bag outside with blue bin. (Leave the brown bin by the house) I'm usually around to do it. Used Sheets, towels on the floor in downstairs bathroom please, when you leave. If you feel like starting a laundry load--FANTASTIC, please don't overstuff the washer--laundry supplies below the machines. Also, please turn OFF the kitchen overhead lights if you leave the house; when you vacate, please remember to turn off all lights/AC. THANK YOU!

The living room has a sofa, loveseat and a 55 flat screen tv. Wi-Fi and direct tv is included. There is a washer and dryer unit in the pantry off of the kitchen . There is also a full bathroom with a walk in shower on this floor. Security system. The Trex Deck extends the length of the back and one side of the house. The deck has a patio set and a barbeque.brbrThe house is located on Latimer Point overlooking Fisher's Island on .25 acres and there is parking for 4 cars. Step down to the water for fishing, crabbing, kayaking, paddle boarding. The house is in an association that has a park with horseshoeing and a play ground adjacent to one of two beaches which is great for children. Grocery store is a mile away.
