The downstairs is a light-filled open floor plan with a living room fireplace. The large kitchen has a center island and is fully equipped for gourmet cooking and leads into a dining room that offers stunning nature views with Watch Hill in the distance. The house includes two workspaces (a study/TV room) and a desk area. Enjoy a huge master suite with beautiful wildlife views. SaltmarshLedge offers cozy nooks, spacious outdoor areas, and everything you need for a wonderful family vacation (including a laundry room!). The property includes the use of 2 bikes, 3 kayaks (one double and 2 singles), and 2 paddleboards plus a ton of toys, games, and puzzles.
Full disclosure, there is a train that passes a short distance away, beyond the meadow and the marsh, and you will hear the whistles. Some people (kids especially!) love this. Some might find it bothersome.
The property is a short walk from, Walkers Dock, a small marina owned by our family. During the spring and summer you can make special arrangements to charter a fishing trip or even bring your own boat. There are ten acres of land, including woods, meadow and saltmarsh, a dog walkers and bird watchers paradise.
The host will be available by phone and text. There is also a caretaker who lives nearby who can help should any issues arise.
In addition to nearby DuBoise Beach on Stonington Point, Saltmarsh Ledgeis about 20 minutes drive to Watch Hill and Westerly Rhode Island beaches and close to numerous other attractions, including Barn Island, Saltwater Farm Vineyard, and the Velvet Mill, an eclectic repurposed factory filled with artist studios, shops, wellness practitioners and maker space.
We have parking for 3 or more cars, Saltmarsh Ledge is just on the edge of Stonington Village, which is easy to access by foot and bike along with driving. It's about 15 minutes away by car from shopping and restaurants in both Mystic Connecticut and Westerly Rhode Island. It's only about 10 minutes from I-95.

Stayed Feb 14, 2026Beautiful home in a beautiful and peaceful spot. Well equipped kitchen for us foodies if we wanted to cook. many spots for sitting and enjoying our time together as a family. Lovely outdoor space to sit and enjoy the scenery. We even did a little sledding! The dogs loved the property as well. Their favorite thing was the train going by and the low windows to watch what was going on outside! Very clean and very comfortable sofas as well as the beds. We were so close to the Velvet mill as well which is one of our favorite spots to visit in Stonington. Our host was available if needed and responed in a timely manner.

Stayed Dec 25, 2025Saltmarsh Ledge is an exceptional property. The home is elegant, comfortable and has every amenity for the care and comfort of guests. The land is extraordinarily beautiful (we loved the train). The area has many interesting features such as the Velvet Mill, great restaurants and shops. I look forward to visiting again.

Stayed Mar 28, 2025We’ve always loved stonington and this home was a great home base for us while in town for a wedding at Lake of Isles. The views are absolutely stunning and we actually loved seeing the Amtrak trains pass by throughout the day. An easy walk to the velvet mill and a little longer to downtown stonington, it was great to explore the area on foot.We were all so comfortable in this home, we didn’t want to leave!Natalie and her team do a great job! We had two minor issues that they resolved quickly. What a great place!!!

Stayed Dec 6, 2024Friends and I stayed at Natalie’s gorgeous house in Stonington for girls weekend away..the home is large enough to spread out but so beautifully decorated and cozy at the same time.The kitchen has any amenity you need, and the sunrise over the river is spectacular! Natalie was a super host and the property is close to Mystic and Watch Hill…thank you!

The host was super communicative and very accommodating. This is a VRBO listing that is true to it's description in every way that is good.

The location is convenient to so much, yet the house and property provide a truly private and natural scenic experience. I can only imagine how wonderful it must be in the other seasons as well.
