Fantastic one bedroom apartment (48 sq m) with spectacular views! Located on the ground floor, only 50 metres from the railway station. Comprises; central hall, open plan kitchen/dining/lounge (with sofa bed) with access to the balcony, double bedroom and bathroom with overbath shower. The balcony offers the most wonderful views towards the mountains including The Jungfrau, Silberhorn and The Lauterbrunnen Valley. Significantly increased cleaning time to meticulously prepare the apartment for arrivals, this includes wearing protective gear to prevent cross contamination, anti-viral cleaning and electrostatic procedures, I use extensive cleaning checklists and provide extra cleaning supplies so you can clean as you stay. There is a vacuum cleaner and also a floor mop with bucket. I leave the apartment sealed for arrivals. All guests will be asked to mist all luggage with anti-viral spray and use hand sanitiser (which will be left inside the postal box, outside the building) before entering. All outdoor shoes must be left in the trays provided in the apartment inner hall.brbrWengen is a car free village, the only access is via train or by foot. Any cars must be left in the village of Lauterbrunnen at the cost of the guest.brbrThis apartment is located a mere 50 metres away from the train station. Fantastic views to both the mountains and the valley. A perfect location for guests who want to be in the middle of the village without being on the main street. The railway line runs to the rear of the apartment, the first scheduled train going up the mountain leaves at 07.46 and the final scheduled train returns at 19.09 (summer only) or 18.09 (winter only).brbrGeneral: We ask that as guests, you leave this apartment as you found it. If there is any damage, please let Kathleen know before you check out.brPlease respect that there are others in the building & as per Swiss convention, do not make any noise between 22.00hrs & 07.00hrs.brbrPeople in Wengen: Speak Swiss German with quite a heavy accent, most understand English.brbrShopping & Eating: We have a Coop supermarket for all essentials, a smaller local supermaket called Dorflade (see note below), a bakery, a jewellers, a craft shop, a photo shop & several sports shops. There is a Post Office & a couple of banks, both with ATM's. There are several bars & restaurants throughout the village.brNote: The DORFLADE have most food items & make home deliveries free of charge if you purchase more than CHF 50brbrSmoking: Please do not smoke inside or out.brbrGarbage/Trash: Please ensure ALL trash is removed from the apartment before you leave. PET bottles can be recycled at the Coop, cardboard & glass at the recycling centre adjacent to the railway station. Everything else need to be thrown out using a GREY or WHITE tax bag, these can be purchased at the Coop, you need to ask for them at the counter.
