In this area you can fish for salmon and trout most of the summer. Lots of room to fish and within walking distance to the town of Sterling. Sterling is 10 miles north of Soldotna and 2.5 hours south of Anchorage. Sterling is the heart of the peninsula. Close to Kenai, Seward and Homer. In Soldotna you can find lots of stores and restaurants to enjoy. brbrSeward and Homer have fishing and sightseeing charters. Seward is home to the famous Kenai Fjords National Park with boats to see sea wildlife and glaciers calving.
