Nestled along the scenic Salmon Creek, Roo Roo's Bear Bottoms is the ideal mountain getaway featuring two distinct and charming living spaces on one beautiful property that accommodates up to 17 guests. Whether you're planning a large family gathering or a quiet retreat with friends, this versatile space offers the perfect balance of comfort, privacy, and togetherness.brbrRoo Roo's Bear Bottoms is one property combining two units/listings that accommodate up to 17 people. brbrUnit 1: The main house has a top, middle, and bottom floor. brbrTop floor: After going upstairs, the top floor opens into a large bedroom that has 2 queen beds, 1 full bed, and 1 twin bed (the full and twin are bunk beds). This room has a desk, armoire, chest of drawers, two chairs, nightstands, and a creek/ mountain view that often has eagles perched over the river looking for salmon. This would be a great room for a large family or older children. This bedroom is connected to the master bathroom which has a sink, shower, and jetted tub. Another room in the bathroom houses the toilet and bidet. There is another bedroom attached to the master bathroom. You must walk through the shower/tub area to get to this room which has a queen bed, chest of drawers, and nightstand. This bedroom has a small window overlooking the forest. brbrMiddle floor: The middle floor has the living area that has two sofas, one loveseat, an accessory chair, side table, and coffee table. There is a TV for entertainment. The dining area has a large table, and the kitchen has new stainless steel appliances and accessory appliances to help cook most meals. There is a large deck outside of the dining area with a table to enjoy the view. Outside of the half bathroom, there is an office area with games. The entrance to the house is on this floor.brbrBottom floor: After going down the stairs, there is a hallway connecting a bathroom, storage room (locked), and two bedrooms. The bathroom has a shower/tub combo and sink. There is also a sliding door in the bathroom that reveals the laundry room complete with washer, dryer, and boiler system (Please do not touch the boiler system- it is very complicated. Contact your host if you need adjustments in the house). One of the bedrooms has a king bed, chest of drawers, nightstand, and closet. The other bedroom has a queen, chest of drawers, two chairs, and closet.brbr**Main House Warning: Accessibility to entrance and bedrooms requires guests to climb entire flights of stairs.**brbrUnit #2: The guesthouse has a lockbox with a key. Once you enter the guesthouse, there is immediately a sofa, coffee table, TV, and chair in the living area. There is also a bistro table for four to dine. The sofa is a full-size, pull-out couch that sleeps two. There are instructions on the wall for how to make it into a bed. The kitchen is to the left. There is a propane stove and oven for cooking and a refrigerator/freezer. There are other appliances such as a blender and toaster. Coffee is provided. brbrUp two steps is the restroom with toilet, shower, sink, and washer/dryer. Shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel are provided. brbrThe queen-size bed is in a loft up a flight of stairs. There are lamps, one side table, and a chest of drawers. The unit has a ceiling fan and Toyo heater. brbr**Guesthouse Warning: Accessibility to bedroom requires guests to climb entire flights of stairs. Access to restroom and washer/dryer requires guests to climb 2 stairs.**brbrOutside: There is a deck on the main house with two large tables/umbrellas. Two grills and a fire pit on the creek are available for guest use.brbr**Warnings**br1. Accessibility to the entrance and bedrooms requires guests to climb entire flights of stairs.br2. There are cameras outside on the property. These are not gotcha cameras. The cameras were purchased as a safety measure because of the wildlife in the area. I try to warn guests of potential bears and moose in the area.br3.When outside or if windows are open, you may notice occasional road noise.br4.Guests must stay 5 yards away from the creek (do not go past the wooden bench).The rushing water is very dangerous and falling in the creek could result in injury or death.br5. Fishing in the creek is illegal.br6. No smoking, no parties, and no pets.br7. Alaska is windy! Do not use the fire pit on excessively windy days. Please monitor the fire at all times and put out the fire immediately after use.br8.Bear Bottoms is in the Alaskan wilderness. While viewing eagles next and hunt for salmon is majestic, bear and moose encounters are not. These animals are very dangerous. Be careful and watch out for wildlife. Bear spray is provided at the front door. Please return it when you depart.br9. Do not clean fish on the property, and do not put trash outside (it will attract dangerous animals). There is a black trash mat in the pantry on the right. If you would like your trash removed due to smell, please contact your host.brbrOther things to note: brThere are cameras outside on the property . These are not gotcha cameras. Location, Location, Location! This luxury home is as close as you can get to the ocean in Seward. A pair of otters feed right in front of the house. Watch sealions swim past along with the occational orca or humpback. While under construction the property was nicknamed the Front Row. If you like a spectacular view, the Front Row has it with the Bay, surrounded mountains and glacial views. The view from the third floor master bedroom will simply take your breath away. All three bedrooms have great views. The Seward Front Row Townhouse has three King bedrooms with one King bed in each, and three and a half baths. We provide three tall queen airbeds for extra guests. Bad weather is not a problem as the Hot Tub is tucked under an overhang with a great view of the bay. You can see Fox island 12 miles down the bay. Sit around the large firepit in the front yard with your family and friends!brbrNo car is needed; you're 2 blocks from shops and restaurants, the shuttle pick up is just down the street and there is a bike path along the waterfront leading to the harbor with fishing charters and tours of Kenai Fjord National Park. Cabs charge $5 to anywhere in town. As our guest, we're here to help you explore Seward and Kenai Fjords National Park, offering discounts on many tours in the area!brbrWoodland Retreat sits on a large, private lot surrounded by trees, just a short drive from town bordering on state land. After a long day of play in the Seward area, the Retreat offers a comfortable place to relax. Games, books, WiFi and TV with Roku box are available for when it’s time to wind down or rest after a busy day. brbrThe home and yard are yours to enjoy. There is one closet in the master suite that is locked to guests (we use it for storage of linens etc) as well as a tool shed in the backyard that is off limits, otherwise you are free to use the entire space.brbrThere's a small cabin on property that is a separate nightly rental with its own parking. As you walk in, you`ll enter a walkthrough galley kitchen and small dinette. The space evolves right into a small living room with TV and on out to the small deck. Off the living room, is the bedroom featuring a queen bed with a small closet including a washer and dryer. The bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with a separated toilet and shower from the sink. The spacious front deck and yard area provides a great spot for relaxation after an adventurous Alaskan summer day -- or a place to enjoy the epic views of Mt. Marathon. brbrLittle House on 3rd is 3/4 of a mile from the small boat harbor and a few blocks from Resurrection Bay with a beautiful view of Mt. Marathon. It`s a short walking distance to the Alaska Sealife Center, local shops, bars, restaurants, and coffee houses. brbrThe two vacant lots to the North are not a part of the property. We kindly ask guests to stay off those lots. We do encourage guests to refrain from cooking fish inside the home. A public outdoor grilling area is available at the pavilion near the waterfront for cooking of your local catch. We do not allow processing of fish in or on the property.
