This log home, constucted in 1955 was built by a bush pilot who transported his friend and flight surgeon to remote bush villages. The flight surgeon built the house directly next door (and is also available for booking). Eventually, this house was purchased by a Swiss artist who painted fun murals on many of the walls and ceilings, most of which have been carefully maintained over the years. The house is in beautiful condition and extremely unique. Very close to Downtown Anchorage, Universities, the Medical District, and petroleum companies. brbrThis house has three bedrooms a master with an ensuite bath, one queen room with full bath in the hall, and one twin + trundle room with an ensuite toilet and shower. From there you can stroll around, cross-country ski, ice skate, ice fish, or just enjoy the beauty. brbrDuring the summer jump off the docks into the refreshing water or enjoy paddle boarding. We have 2 paddle boards available for your use. Fish from the docks and use the grill on the large deck to make your dinner.brbrYou can enjoy the whole 2400sq ft home. Sip coffee or tea while watching the daylight break through the picture window. Or enjoy a glass of wine in the back deck or floating on the lake while watching the sun set. brbrLarge living room with comfy couches, fireplace, and large TV for those relaxing evenings. Large kitchen to prepare your own meals and also a full dining room with an unobstructed lake view. Downstairs has a large living area with comfy couches, TV, a table for playing games or socializing. There is also a full size laundry room with washer/dryer, a utility sink, and iron.brbrOutside enjoy the large deck area with a BBQ, also enjoy the front and back yard with lake access. 2 paddle boards are available to use during the summer months. brbrWe are about 10min south of the airport. Plenty of parking. Grocery store and a few Restaurants are walking distance. Parked and fishing access is also walking distance. Lots of biking/hiking trails nearby. brbrThere is plenty of parking at the house. Uber/Lyft is also reasonable to get you pretty much anywhere in Anchorage. If you decide to bike it there are also plenty of biking trails nearby. To get you around.brbrPlease do take your shoes off in the entryway.
