One of our favorite places to put in is Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge. It’s a beautiful ride across Mobile Bay and provides excellent views of Fort Morgan. The Dauphin Island ferry dock is located conveniently close to wonderful attractions like Fort Gaines and the Estuary.brbrVisit Fort Gaines—While you are on Dauphin Island, visit this historic fort, which played a significant role during the Civil War. The grounds, several buildings, and cannons are open for self-guided tours.brbrDauphin Island Sea Lab and Estuarian – This is a great educational place. With over 19 miles of trails, you will learn about the coastal habitats and wildlife that call this area home. You can also visit their on-site sea turtle rehabilitation center and research library. For a more profound education experience, book a marine educator-led aquarium tour with your kids.brbrKaraoke and Dinner at Tacky Jacks – Tacky Jack’s, located next to Fort Morgan Marina, is fun for family-friendly entertainment and waterfront dining—a local favorite for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with live karaoke on Thursday and Saturday nights.brbrVisit the Gulf State Park – This large state park in Gulf Shores offers trails, a beach, a fishing pier, and more! The dining area seats 6 as well! The living room has an L shaped sleeper sofa and a flatscreen TV with built in DVD. The balcony seats 6 comfortably and is the perfect place to spend time relaxing when not on the beach! brbrOur unit is within walking distance of shopping, dining, entertainment, and the newly renovated 'Hangout'- a hot spot in Gulf Shores. Also available close by are 'Waterville' and 'The Track' amusement parks, the Gulf Shores Zoo, OWA amusement park, Tanger Outlet Mall, and lots of golf courses! Don't miss eating at 'Lu Lu's', a local favorite owned and run by Jimmy Buffett's sister. We're only 15 min from concerts at The Wharf. There is so much to see and do in the area, and Pensacola NAS (home of the Blue Angels) is only a 45 min ride away- watch their practice flights and tour the museum for free! br brWe strive to be family friendly.
