Villa Lucia Varenna, Varenna, Italy

The photos do not do this home justice. The views from the balconies are incredible and the rooftop vista is the best in Varenna. The garden is amazing. You have access to the main walkway along the water by exiting the garden gate. There’s an elevator for your luggage which was really nice. We stayed here when we got married and we’re so glad we did!

The only issue was no smart TV in the living room. Other than that it was magical! The owner was so accommodating and meet us at the property with a warm welcome. The location was perfect. The veranda was amazing with amazing views of Lake Como. The wear was perfect .Wish we had more days in Varenna. Highly recommend this property.

This villa is in a great location -- close to the train station and ferry dock, yet within walking distance to all the best shopping and restaurants. The views from the terrace are absolutely breathtaking. The kitchen is fully equipped, the beds are very comfortable, and the bathrooms are clean and modern. We loved staying here!

My wife and I stayed here for close to a week and we loved our stay. The scenery was beautiful and the private garden and walkway made it very easy to visit the town without having to walk in the street. My wife particularly enjoyed the views from each level of the villa and the many amenities offered. The kitchen is fully equipped (although oddly without plates) and so we were able to have a dinner we prepared ourselves, with the amazing view to complete the experience. We will definitely have many fond memories of our time here.

This villa was wonderful-great location, close to train and ferry stations as well as restaurants. Quiet, clean, well furnished. Perfect for two couples travelling together for 4 night stay! Really felt as if we were experiencing an “Italian villa” just without the servants!

The setting is perfect and the location is very convenient to the ferry and trains. Well-appointed property with an excellent view and location.

We enjoyed all of it, the breath-taking views from the villa both day and night, ferry rides, exceptional restaurants, villa tours, great hikes, the castle. The host was so kind to meet with us and share his family stories. Five nights wasn’t long enough! The meeting point of 47 Via Venini is important if you are being dropped off or picked up by drivers as the entrance to the property is merely a gate. Most memorable place we’ve stay in our lives,

This was a very enjoyable stay in Varenna. When the city crowds got to be too much we could come back to the villa for peace and quiet.

Can not say enough good things. Already planning our trip next summer to stay again. Pictures don’t do it justice. Gorgeous views, prime location and beautiful huge villa. Love it!

Beautiful villa with an even more beautiful and picturesque view of the Lake Como.

We feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to stay in this special and unique property. Arriving early after an overnight flight, Alessandro was willing to allow us to store our bags until check in, and then actually ended up letting us check in early when the villa was ready earlier than expected. The accommodations were incredibly comfortable and clean, and the views were spectacular. The location is so convenient - two minutes walk from the center of the town, but tucked away in a magical garden for privacy and peace. A wonderful stay!

Best view of the lake. It was a privilege staying in this lovely property. Convenient to everything. The owner-manager was wonderful and was kind to shop for us for wine-cheese as we were getting in really late.

We loved the location of villa Lucia. It’s nice that the house is air conditioned and the internet is really good. Most of our time was spent on the patio overlooking Lake Como while enjoying a Lemoncello Spritz. There are a lot of keys involved with this house due to the multiple levels of the house. Any time we had a problem (only twice), Alessandro the house manager was there to take care of the minor problem.
