Villa Lucia Laglio, Laglio, Italy

PROS Property management very accommodating with earlier check in and later check out time. House located near the lake, beautiful views of Lake Como. Large kitchen open concept layout. Bathrooms were modern and well decorated. Nice size outdoor patio with amazing view. Great location with SO much potential if it was properly maintained and serious issues especially the mold were addressed. CONS Could not use bottom level at all due to terrible damp smell and noticeable mold in many areas. We had 9 people so now short beds for 2 people. They were forced to sleep on the couch which was not at all comfortable. Mold issue was addressed in another review dated August 14, 2024 management's response was Humidity unfortunately is a frequent problem on Lake Como. We will check with the team on site that there is no mold for future arrivals CLEARLY THIS WAS NOT DONE. Cleaning was less than satisfactory no paper towels or dishcloth provided. No wine bottle opener provided. Coffee maker was filthy and stained. Garage door did not work. Contacted property management as none of the TV's worked said they would stop by and help us but never showed up. Most bathroom and bedroom doors don’t close properly and locks don’t work. One guest got locked in the third level bathroom as handle fell off. None of the bathroom vanity lights worked. Both upper bathrooms had leaks in the ceiling. Property management was advised so hopefully was attended to for future guests.

The prperty was within a 5 minute walk to vila vittoria and suited our families needs perfectly. Check in was super easy. We appricated all the necessary supplies for a comfortable stay. The prperty was nice and clean the beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were roomy. The water in the hot tub never heated up, but we most likely missed a step to get it going. The attic shower leaks where the door meets, and a coat of fresh paint would certainly brighten the main floor.Our overall experience was wonderful . The entire family enjoyed their time and stay in Laglio

The property was great overall, we loved the patio and the pool.

We were very dissappointed with our stay at this house. The description is false. It says that the house provides parking for two cars but there was only one parking spot. Surrounding the house, there is parking on the street for only two hours. The jacuzzi was leaking water all over the deck and the jacuzzi only heats the water to 31.5 C. The jets worked on only one side. For a house in Italy, we were not even provided a coffee maker or a wine bottle opener. The property management said that they would stop by and provide a coffee maker and never did. The garage door hardly fit our sedan and the garage door did not close. We were not told the garage door did not work and in the process of trying to close the door, the fuse blew out and power went out. From the deck, the view to the lake is almost completely obstructed by the gigantic tree from the neighbor's house across the street. The televisions did not work in each room. The televisions supposedly had satellite service which never worked during our stay. The dishwasher machine functions but not very well. We ran dishes at the end of the night but the dishes were still dirty and we ended up washed dishes by hand. On the positive note, the bathrooms were very modern and well decorated. The house is close to the water and we had easy access to the nearby beach. The house is on a narrow two way street that many cars pass through with high speed. On our third day there, a biker was struck by a speeding car.

Good location and property

Brilliant stay, lovely property which was clean and modern. It would have been good to understand the pool would be closed until 1st june in advance. The stairs were also quite steep for elderly relatives. Only small things!

Upon arrival, we were greeted to dirty dishes, smelly refrigerator, someone’s laundry in the washer/dryer as well as a lack of cleaning of the property and a number of broken items. Contacted the management company who asked for us to send pictures which we did and they subsequently sent cleaners over who did the bare minimum as they only vacuumed the main floor, not the other floors. While we appreciate the cleaning company coming upon notifying them, the question I was asking, why didn’t someone inspect the property prior to our arrival so that we were not starting off on the wrong foot on vacation? We ended up leaving after 2 nights as we were not able to use the pool or hot tub as they were both dirty and we were told we failed to report this to the management company for it to get addressed. Not sure why it was our job to find all the things that needed to get done, but we did later on and then decided we should just go stay at a hotel with a pool and enjoy our vacation. Notified the management company about that too and their response was to say we worked and tried to fix any issues we had during our stay and that’s it. It’s truly not all about the money, but considering the management and complete lack of hospitality, they should have offered a discount or offer to pay for a hotel considering all things we faced could have been addressed if someone just inspected the property prior to arrival. Other than that, the location of the property is great.

A very comfortable and well equipped villa close to excellent restaurants in the heart of Laglio.
