Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of 6 had a wonderful week at Villa Palmilla in early August. The villa was maintained to a high standard with great amenities (AC, Wifi, Kitchen) and was taken care of every single day by Jorge and Margarita. We enjoyed the outdoor area, breakfasts and dinners on the patio and days spent by the pool and on the private beach equipped with loungers and a hammock. Walks to Akamai along the beach (10 mins) to enjoy snorkelling with turtles. We even saw two turtles laying eggs a short distance from our villa in the evening. Jorge cooked delicious meals and made amazing margaritas and was always on hand to support. We visited the Mayan ruins at Tulum, visited local Ceynotes, snorkelled at a nearby lagoon and used the kayaks at the villa. Bedrooms and bathrooms were of a high standards as well as the communal areas and we were treated to beautiful sunrises, sunsets and incredible views of the moon every day, visible from the bedrooms’ balconies and downstairs outdoor areas. The Akamai Villas team were attentive with the booking and Roger, the Villa manager visited us during our stay. Hoping to return to this quiet slice of paradise in the near future!

The bathrooms and bedrooms are spacious and well appointed. The air conditioning units worked effortlessly and kept the entire home COLD. The pool, lounging areas, provided kayaks, life jackets, and snorkel gear allowed us to make memories on a whim without over planning. The neighborhood is EXTREMELY SAFE!The services provided by Jorge and Margarita were TOP NOTCH. We made a new friend with Jorge and we were so sad to leave his care and attention. In our 10 day visit, he prepared 6 meals for us. His skills in the kitchen are superb and exceeded the quality and taste of food we had dining elsewhere. We shared many laughs together during our stay. Jorge set a new level of expectations for our vacations going forward.In general, many reports will say to avoid Mexico in July due to Sargassum and Hurricane seasons. As Floridians, we disagree with this and at no time during the entirety of our trip were our plans dampered by poor weather or seaweed. That's not to say there isn't any seaweed, but the position of this home eliminated it from view and there was no smell due to the rising tides filtering daily. I can't say the same for other areas of Mexico - but the topography and position of Villa Palmilla surrounded by a barrier reef type formation in the distance make the location of this home ideal! Overall, we enjoyed our trip to Mexico and look forward to revisiting in the future!

Everything about this place was awesome. Just the wife and I and peice an quite. We are already planning on coming down to this area with friends next year. Wife felt totally safe.

When we arrive, however, it was really great that all of our expectations were significantly surpassed. The house is beautiful, the people from the property management company and the two people who took care of our house each day were excellent. We also had them cook some meals for us and it was better than any five star restaurant. Other than a few chilly days, we could not have picked a better place, a better staff or had a better time. No one will be disappointed.
