Quinta Courela das Aguinhas, a new villa set in peaceful ,panoramic location

About the place: It's situated 10 minutes from the village. Here is very calm, you can hear the birds, check on the sheep, goats, donkeys, ducks and geese. The house is clean and spaceous and have everything that you might need, from kitchen gadgets, to fans, hairdryers, etc. The beds are confortable. Outside you have plenty of options: take a swim in the pool, catch some sun, play table soccer, table tennis. It's quiet so it's great for a nap, read a book, do meditation. At night you can stargaze, it's amazing since there's less light polution. The owners are super nice, always available and help you with anything that you need. They told us the names and some stories about the animals that they have since we're animal lovers.

A really nice and complete holidayhouse, situated at the country-side. When you are looking for a COVID-19 save place, when you love animals, quietness, a great pool, this is the place to be! You do need a car however. Lesley and Brian are always around you and they are very willing to help! We arrived late at night and Lesley and Brian had arranged everything for a good breakfast, we felt really welcome! Junior, Lucinda and Estrella are the donkeys; we miss them! Everything was perfect! If you're looking for a peaceful place to stay and relax for a couple of days, this is it. It's far away from crowds and it has all the comfort you can wish for. Full equiped house and garden.

We had a fab time at Brian and Lesley's villa. It's a lovely property with a great swimming pool, set in rural surroundings. Brian and Lesley are really nice people, always around to help if needed but they also give you privacy and allow you to get on with your holiday. The villa is very remote (nearest supermarket is 14 mins drive) so it's the ideal place to relax. We managed trips to Beja and to Milfontes as well as the science centre/mining centre about an hour north. Definitely recommend this property if you want to see the quiet Alentejo region of Portugal.

Our hosts Brian and Lesley were wonderfully welcoming and could not have been more helpful in finding our way about the local area. The house is quiet and calming, the perfect place to unwind for your holiday, highly recommend

Very quiet retreat away from it all but still accessible to coast etc. Large clean pool ,plenty of space for everyone. Extremely well equipped throughout including pool and surrounding areas and especially the kitchen. Owners are very attentive,pleasant and extremely welcoming even with welcome groceries beyond what is usual. They are very keen that guests have a good time and anxious to get everything right. Would definitely recommend especially to those whose priority is relaxation in very pleasant surroundings with far reaching views etc. Also 10mins away by car (essential)is very good supermarket.

Absolutely wonderful. Brian and Lesley are great hosts. They have created a beautiful garden. Brian looks after the swimming pool very carefully - better than most 5☆ hotels. Good place for family holiday with young children with swings, table tennis etc and of course all the lovely animals - Junior the donkey, dogs, geese, goats and ducks. We wish them every success with this new venture. We used it as a base for birdwatching. Local walks just beyond gate, and within easy reach of Castro Verde reserve, Mertola and Santa Clara swimming lake.

We had a fantastic time at the property, everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The lounge and dining/kitchen area is compact but very comfortable with all the mod cons on hand.to ensure minimum time preparing meals. The American style fridge freezer was a bonus being able to hold lots of frozen food along with plenty of the essentials like wines & beers. Joking aside we spent most of the time enjoying the fantastic pool and sun loungers and eating out on the terrace which was so relaxing, no noise. There are plenty of games equipment on hand to keep all ages entertained. A car is a must because of the rural location, but it is only an hours drive from the west coast or the Algarve. The animals which the owners have are very entertaining and young children would love them. Thank you Lesley & Brian for being brilliant hosts and for all your help and advice. Overall we had a brilliant time. We hope to be able to return in the future to experience it all again, apart from the car breaking down!!
