Stayed Dec 31, 2025This property was beautiful, comfortable, and well appointed. The location was top notch, near the charming town of Calabishie with a friendly convenience store very close-by, but with a great feeling of quiet and privacy. The property manager was exceptionally caring, attentive, and helpful. He went the extra mile and then some to help us with some unexpected needs we faced. We couldn't be more grateful for having found this wonderful place and will gladly return when we next find ourselves on the lovely island of Dominica.

Stayed Dec 24, 2025VRBO property managers take note: this is how you do it!We stayed here over Christmas. The property manager Kelvin made sure that our family had an unforgettable experience. We were concerned about meals during Christmas Day. We need not have been, since he made sure that we had a wonderful meal provided by his wife Nazlin who runs the Nets of the Reef restaurant in Calibishi (check it out- great food!).The property itself is absolutely what a top shelf vacation property should be.Walk to the beach? CheckComfortable, clean and safe? CheckGreat communication with the property manager? CheckWell stocked kitchen and amenities? CheckWe would love to stay here again!Thank you!!

Stayed Mar 12, 2025Calibishie is about beaches so why not stay in a wonderful villa overlooking the beach? This villa is great and you should stay here if it is available. Glorious sunrise views over Hodge's beach from your bedrooms and the terraces - you can walk down the path to get this beach and you probably will be alone there as it is very quiet. The villa is clean and big and functional and well managed locally. Thanks Kelvin! No complaints at all and we will gladly stay here again.

Stayed Dec 17, 2024Myself and 5 other family members stayed at this location for 10 days. The view alone is enough to book the place! It is absolutely stunning. Every bedroom and the dining/living room have doors that open up to one of the two terraces. You have a prime view of Hodges bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Just along the side of the house is a trail that leads down to Hodges bay where you can swim in the bay and/or the Mamelabou River. The trail is mostly made of natural stairs so can be tough for those who are not as able bodied. We found that the beach part of the bay and the entrance of the river is rather shallow which made it very nice to relax in. There were some days that had more sargassum than others, but that’s just the ocean for ya! The house is absolutely lovely and well maintained. The owners have done a wonderful job at furnishing things for their visitors. They even provide toiletries that you wouldn’t typically receive at a hotel. Razors/shavers were provided, toothpaste tubes, bug bite relief products, towels for the beach, etc. The kitchen is fully stocked with appliances and dishes needed for cooking, baking, eating. The owners are very kind people, as well as, their property manager Kelvin. Kelvin was great to work with. We had a couple incidents happen (none at the fault of anyone, just normal maintenance) and Kelvin was always very helpful and ensured fixes were taken care of. Their driver, Harvey, is the best on the island, if needed! 10/10!!!!

Stayed Jan 22, 2024This spacious place, with three ample bedrooms, was stocked to the max with amenities, down to a well provisioned Keurig coffee with all the canisters, soaps and shampoos, kids' books and games, first aid kit, laundry room, internet, hot shower systems, canned goods, condiments - all for (responsible) guest use - but best of all were the unbeatable view overlooking Hodges Bay and the fresh sea wind (the place can also be sealed and air conditioned if desired). Very conveniently located next to Calibishie (food stores, ATM, gas station, eateries), between the attractions of Portsmouth and the northwest and the airport and Pagua Bay in the other direction. Manager Kelvin is very warm and welcoming and communication with hosts Roger and Kathleen is prompt and effective. Great base to explore the north, or just hang out and relax on the luxury balconies.
