Stayed Nov 1, 2025This is a very lovely newer home with a spectacular view of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Plenty of outdoor seating and gorgeous roof top views of the sea and Stromboli. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything needed to prepare meals. There is a lovely charcoal BBQ as well. Charcoal and lighter is available at the hardware store on the way to Zambrone. Zambrone is a 30 minute walk from the house. The beds are very comfortable with lovely bedding. My only criticism is the main bedroom did not have shutters or dark curtains making for a very early wake up every day. In November when we were there all surrounding areas were very quiet. The weather was lovely 18-23 and no crowds but there is very limited stores and restaurants open. Francesco, the local agent was very responsive and helpful. We loved the whole Calabria area and found the people as warm and delightful as the food.

Stayed Oct 9, 2025We enjoyed our stay immensely. The house was well equipped and comfortable. The highlight was the wonderful view and beautiful sunsets, as well as being close to the lovely town of Zambrone. Our host Janice was very responsive and provided wonderful tips and recommendations. Ristorante Manitta is a must. There were many wonderful towns and sites to see within a two hour drive from the house.

Stayed Jul 30, 2023We (family of 2 adults, 3 children) spent wonderful days in Zambrone. The villa is perfectly as described - just the surround view over the bay of Tropea and the Stromboli is simply better than any description. The villa, the garden and the pool are super clean. The well sorted kitchen, individual aircon in every room and the very nice garden area with various seating possibilities all contribute to wonderful and relaxing holidays. The 10 houses are a „gated community“, the villa itself features another gate - everything is super safe and calm. Beautiful beaches, restaurants in Zambrone, Tropea and Pizzo are all within a short drive. Special thanks to Alberto for the perfect local service! Clear recommendation from out side for Villa Chiara - thanks for wonderful 2 weeks!

Stayed Jun 28, 2023Janice is a gracious & perfect host. Her villa is exceptional! Truly a piece of heaven on earth! The listing is just as presented- only the pictures can not come close to capture the views - they are breathtaking! The villa is beautifully decorated with every convenience thought of. Janice even had weights for a quick workout if you desired. The villa was exceptionally clean & comfortable. The pool is beautiful & just steps away! Zambrone is a beautiful southern Italian town with warm welcoming residents, a cafe, restaurants & beaches! The beaches are truly paradise - as an avid traveler the beaches in Zambrone are the best we have ever been to. Janice's restaurants recommendations were superb! I can not say enough of our time in this villa in Zambrone! I am grateful for our time in Zambrone - thank you so much Janice - the memories we have made will live in our hearts for a lifetime!

Stayed May 1, 2023It’s a gorgeous property with plenty of room and beautiful views. Beds were comfortable. It has everything that you need. For an American it took a little while to get used to how to operate some of the appliances. But after figuring it out everything went well. Unfortunately we had very bad weather and left early. Both the caretaker and the owner were always immediately available for questions. We wanted to discover some less popular spots in Italy. It’s a beautiful part of Italy, less touristy, not a lot of the English spoken which was fine since I was trying to improve my Italian. It’s a very rugged and rustic part of Italy. Very mountainous and the roads leave something to be desired. But the Villa is lovely it has everything one would need for a vacation.

Stayed Sep 21, 2022Majestic views, stunning sunsets and easy access to the town of Zambrone, Tropes and Pizzo. This home is lovely modern with a fine, workable kitchen, tiled bathrooms and comfortable rooms. With a large community pool (shared by a few homes) and lots of lounge chairs, we enjoyed sitting outside where bright flowers and tasteful landscaping dotted the perimeter of the property. It was spotlessly clean and check in easy.

Stayed Jun 8, 2022It was easy to rent the property online, and Janice, the host, answered all of our questions in advance. The villa appears to be close to brand new, and is in excellent condition. The villa is well equipped with the basics, and there are several small markets at the bottom of the hill -- 5 minute drive-- where you can purchase food to cook/eat if you don't plan to eat out every day. The villa is in a small hilltop complex with 6-8 similar villas, but each has their own separate property. They share a common pool area, which is quite nice. The location, in Marina de Zambrone, is in between Tropea and Pizzo, both worth visiting. You can also schedule tours of the area, including to the nearby Aeolian Islands, through tour companies in either one of the towns. We stayed in the villa for one week, and enjoyed every minute of it.
