Luxury Jungle Villa~Honeymoon Privacy~Ocean View~Infinity Pool~Wildlife~A/C

Absolutely fantastic!!!! We had a little trouble finding the place because I wasn’t familiar with Whatsapp but after that it was smooth sailing. It was a dream stay!! I can’t wait to go back!

What an incredible villa, pool, and beautifully landscaped property, with a wonderful ocean view! We had an amazing time at this beautiful property, and Janet and Doug ( owners) kindly guided us to the villa, and gave us a thorough tour. They have thought of everything you could ever need for your stay. We spent so much time in the beautiful pool, and were visited by lots of wildlife, which we loved. We saw lots of monkeys in the trees around the pool, and the howler monkeys would wake us in the mornings. So many toucans and parrots! The location of the villa is wonderful too. The drive up is fairly easy, and it is close to Dominicalito Beach, a great yoga studio, and the Kunjani Cafe. Juli ( concierge) was incredible! She booked us for horseback riding on the beach for sunset, and several dinner reservations. So very helpful. We will definitely be back to stay again! Thank you Janet and Doug!

Perfect in every way!

This villa is even better than shown. It is beautiful in all ways and very comfortable and relaxing. Doug and Janet are wonderful hosts and very helpful and welcoming. Beds are very comfortable, the pool was a great temperature at all times of the day, and the property feels very private and secure. We never used the A/C in the bedroom because the night downslope breeze and the ceiling fan were more than enough. It was great to hear all the jungle wildlife sounds each morning, including howler monkeys just outside the bedroom a few yards away in the trees. The road is typical for Costa Rica with rocks and ruts, but when dry, any SUV with AWD/4WD and good ground clearance will work fine. We had a Hyundai Tucson and it handled the road without a problem. The host communicated the week's schedule of visits by pool, housekeeping, and grounds crews. There were some local construction sounds from a new nearby house, but mostly very peaceful. We definitely wanted to stay much longer! Thanks, Doug and Janet.

Doug and Janet are friendly and helpful hosts. The location was perfect for exploring, the pool was outstanding and the wildlife amazing!

Wonderful property- enjoyed it so much we ate every meal here. Yard birding was delightful, many iconic species seen right from the pool/deck.

We had the most incredible experience at Gorda Vista Jungle! We absolutely had a flawless trip, thanks to Doug and Janet! The home was absolutely stunning- it was even better than the photos show. It was clean, fully stocked with everything you could ever need- including beach towels, pool toys, beach toys and even a cooler to take to the beach! It truly had everything we needed and the full kitchen was such a gift- we could grill out, make meals and have everything we needed!The pool was spectacular- many hours were spent lounging in the chairs, swimming laps and just being in nature! The views were endless and we absolutely loved waking up to the jungle sounds every morning! Doug and Janet made everything so easy- they welcomed us to their home and graciously showed us all we'd need to know to fully enjoy it all. They had great tips and recommendations and we truly are so grateful. The concierge, Juli, was also fantastic! She gave us great ideas, recommendations and we really appreciated her assistance in booking and arranging everything- the Jungle ATV tour was amazing and we highly recommend it! And the dinner at La Parcela was delicious with incredible views!Thank you for an exceptional vacation! Pura Vida!

Everything was perfect. Place was clean, private, intimate, views were spectacular, all amenities were present, beds are very comfortable, Doug and Janet are great hosts and always respond in a timely manner, would have stayed longer if we could have. My 6th time renting a villa in CR and highly recommend this place. Note: 4X4 is a must!!!

Gorda Vista exceeded our expectations...

Beautiful property and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The grounds are kept so nicely with endless wildlife to watch. We loved hanging out in the pool and bird watching. The iguana that seems to reside on the grounds was a joy to see each day! The location was very convenient between Uvita and Dominical.There is some construction of a new home going on nearby so we could hear the workers during the day. Only recommendation would be to let the guests know when gardener/pool people would be coming as it was startling to have unexpected visitors.

Beautiful and well designed house. It had everything you could possibly need. And everything worked - hot water, AC, stove etc. Comfortable king bed. The pool was fantastic and we particularly enjoyed the comfortable day bed and all the pillows located under cover next to the pool. Great place to hang out and watch the birds and enjoy the views when we wanted to be out of the sun. The owner was easy to reach and promptly answered all our questions. This was my 6th trip to CR in 33 years and this place was by far the nicest Ive ever stayed.

My wife was stunned by the beauty of looking through the house to the view as we walked through the front door. The house was very well appointed and maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed the property, the privacy, the view and the wildlife. Regular sightings of scarlet macaws and toucans. Howler monkeys in the trees on the edge of the property on a couple of days. We could hear the ocean and the streams that flowed through the property. The pool was wonderful and the bed was very comfortable. A key part of our amazing visit.

The property was absolutely amazing and definitely as advertised! The views are incredible, you're peacefully tucked away about 5 min into the jungle, and share your time with a bevy of wildlife. Julie, the concierge for the property, gave us several recommendations that we were glad we took her up on. A few of the highlights were the ATV jungle/coffee plantation tour, Titi zipline, the private chef, and our resident black iguana we named George. The property manager, Lyle, was very attentive and helpful with any questions or issues we had (which were few). My wife is already talking about when (not if) we come back it'll probably be back here so we can say hello to George again. Our only recommendation is to bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper, because the jungle wakes up at about 5am. Or you can simply get up early with a cup of coffee and sit on the patio while the toucans sing.

Amazing house, view and location. Highly recommend.

We stayed here for a portion of our honeymoon trip and it was so relaxing! The pool was lovely, house was very clean, and host was very quick to communicate and answer any questions. We would absolutely stay here again! If you are wanting a place that feels secluded but is close to town this is the one!

The Villa was as advertised with spectacular views of the jungle and ocean off in the distance. The rooms had A/C and kitchen was very well stocked. Very close to a major supermarket and many towns with excellent restaurants so you have the option of eating at home or going out. Everything was clean and in working order and the infinity pool was great. The property itself is very secure (large fence encloses the living area) and private (neighbors are hundreds of meters away).Going to sleep and waking to the sounds of the jungle was an otherworldly experience. Doug and Janet are very responsive, helpful and laid back. The concierge service offered via Juli was very helpful as well and she helped us plan our activities and stay. It's very well located and there is a ton to do in the area. You do need a 4x4 capable rental in Costa Rica and would suggest tire insurance.Overall, fantastic, smooth experience and would highly recommend to anyone

We had a wonderful week at this villaThe house is perfect; it has everything you could imagine. The location is unbeatable. You're in the middle of the jungle with all the amenities, but only 5 minutes from any service you might need. It's a perfect place to explore all the wonders this part of Costa Rica has to offer.Waking up every morning to the sound of animals is wonderful. Relaxing with a swim in the infinity pool before having breakfast outdoors and enjoying the sun, in a magical environment where you can see all kinds of birds up close and even hear howler monkeys, is priceless.

Wonderful property in a fantastic environment

Doug and Janet were great hosts. They were quick to respond with questions. They also met us at a local restaurant and led us up to the house. They also have Juli to be a concierge for your stay. She is amazing by scheduling excursions during your stay and was there when we could t find the location for an excursion by directing us and then calling the company to let them know we would be there. The house is the best of indoor/outdoor living . You can hear toucans and monkeys from the house. La Parcela restaurant was right down the road and we saw monkeys before we walked into the restaurant and even saw one in a tree right outside of the restaurant while eating. Food was delicious too. If you are wavering about booking this house, don’t be. We are already talking about our return trip. Pura vida!

We have stayed at a lot of VRBO houses and I was skeptical that this one would live up to the amazing pictures - but it did and more! This is a beautiful house on an incredible property. Waking up with a view of the ocean, swimming in the private pool - my husband, kids, and I loved every minute of it. We saw monkeys, toucans, an iguana, tons of lizards, and even a sloth. The owner is very communicative and helpful. We would love to come back some day!

Stayed for 3 nights to experience a little bit of the Dominical area and the property was very beautiful and quiet. Had a fantastic stay relaxing pool side! We will definitely stay again when ever we are in the Dominical area!

This was a top notch house. There’s a reason why it’s all five star reviews. I loved every second of it. The living room can get a little hot since there is no AC due to the open air around the rooftop, but you can always open the sliders. I was just not wanting so many bugs in. So when I got too hot, I’d go sit by the lovely pool and be immediately cool. I saw monkeys, toucans, iguanas, the most beautiful hummingbirds I’ve ever seen in my life. Really spectacular. The owners and the manager are just fantastic. Great communication.

My wife and I had a wonderful time here. This place is relaxing, even during the rainy season!

My wife and I stayed at Gorda Vista Jungle Villa for a belated honeymoon for one week. It was a magical place, set well into the mountain jungle, almost two miles from the main road. The pictures are accurate but don’t do it justice. Doug kept in contact with us and met us at the Super Dominical, then escorted us up to the property. It was breathtaking in the limited daylight, and we woke to see the whole property the next morning. Definitely take advantage of the concierge service with Juli Harris. It helps with getting an idea of what activities you can enjoy when you are in the area. I was disappointed that during our stay, we didn’t see any monkeys or sloths from the house (although we did see them elsewhere), but we saw an iguana, basilisk, butterflies, Toucans, bats,and could hear Howler monkeys. Just so you know, it does take a 4WD to get there and it’s at least a 3 hour drive from the San Jose airport. This was the best VRBO we’ve stayed in! Alan

This is an exceptional house in a remote and private area. The hosts were welcoming and responsive. The best feature of the home is the pool. It’s perfect for lounging and laps. We will definitely come again. Make sure to rent a 4x4 - the mile trip from the main road to the home climbs about 500 feet and can get pretty rough in the rain.

Our time at the villa was as enjoyable and satisfying from previous stays along the coast with magnificent views, a cascade of flora and fauna to distract and a great outdoors set-up to never require much time inside. We self-catered with no issues using the kitchen and grill and arrival/departure very easy. time inside
