Villa Melina at Lefkada is a large villa with fantastic views towards the Bay of Nidry. The Villa is situated in Fterno, a small Greek Village with two vibrant tavernas. Both tavernas serve local and organical meat and vegetables. Fterno is close to tourist centers such as Nidry, Syvota and Vassiliki.

Guests have access to a private infinity swimming pool, two fully equipped kitchens and TV/WI-FI facilities. The fully airconditioned villa (independent aircondition units in all bedrooms) ensure coolness during day as well as night time. Villa Melina is privately situated at the very end of the village ensuring peace and quiet. With two fully equipped kitchens on two separate floors two families can easily rent the villa jointly with a large degree of privacy and have the pool area for communal use. In the near vicinity there is a local vineyard producing great white, rose and red wines from a local selection of grapes, which is also worth a visit.

The island Lefkas has a lot to offer including, Porto Katsiki (one of the best beaches in Greece), surfers paradise in Vasiliki, many small holiday towns like Nidri, Nikiana, Sivota og Ayios Nikitas, waterfall, vineyard, and boat hire to mention a few. One can also make day trips to neighboring islands like Kefalonia, Ithaki, Meganissi, Paxos og Zakintos.

In Villa Melina you have all that you need, but we strongly recommend renting a car as the the local bus infrastructure is not the best. Check in is 17:00 and check out is 11:00 and rent includes bed linens and towels for bathrooms and beach use.

The views from the villa are simply amazing. There are some great views around the island but these better them. The villa is modern with ample space with good size bedrooms. There are 3 bedrooms on the lower level and 2 bedrooms on the ground/ entrance level. The double sided lounge is on the first floor with views all round. Although there is a large kitchen - diner on the lower ground floor we used the smaller kitchen on the ground floor as we ate on the large pool terrace . The pool is a good size. The villa is just beyond the village of Fterno at the end of a tricky road which is tarmac in parts. But this is typical on this island. The last bit is a short 20 m steep bit. It wasn’t a problem for our normal cars. A car is essential and anyone who is worried about driving on the island especially on Greek roads should look for a holiday elsewhere where the road infrastructure is superb. We ate at some great places in Syvota, Vasiliki, Geni where the lagoon is and also in Lefkada town. The furthest we travelled was about 25 minutes to Lefkada town. We had thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
