We combined two asymmetric cubes made from all the basic materials (stone, wood, glass, steel and concrete) to create a villa of approx.100 sqm that can accommodate up to 6 guests.brbrThe interior areas are thoughtfully organized on one level for easy access and furnished in a contemporary way. Behind the wooden pivot entrance door, a large reception space is hidden with a unified area which is comprised by a functional kitchen, a minimal dining table and a living room with a modern fireplace for family moments.brbrWe love light since Faos means light… so we created huge openings for the daylight and we “armed” all the spaces with playful recessed lights and floor lamps for the night, highlighting the asymmetries and the wooden high ceilings. The master bedroom is equipped with a king size multiple layer sleep system (180*210cm) from Coco-Mat and decorated with modern designing details blended with neutral colors. The en-suite bathroom is a visible extension of the room separated with glass and wooden walls. The second bedroom mixes industrial design with an open closet and modern lighting with soft and quiet fabrics from the welcoming queen size multiple layer sleep system (160*200cm) by Coco-Mat. Next to the bedroom there is a second full bathroom.brbrFor relaxation we offer an impressive infinity pool of approx. 45 sqm with a charming and peaceful sea view overlooking Rouda golf surrounded by high-end lounge sun-beds carefully selected and combined to maximize pleasure. Villa Melina at Lefkada is a large villa with fantastic views towards the Bay of Nidry. The Villa is situated in Fterno, a small Greek Village with two vibrant tavernas. Both tavernas serve local and organical meat and vegetables. Fterno is close to tourist centers such as Nidry, Syvota and Vassiliki.brbrGuests have access to a private infinity swimming pool, two fully equipped kitchens and TV/WI-FI facilities. The fully airconditioned villa (independent aircondition units in all bedrooms) ensure coolness during day as well as night time. Villa Melina is privately situated at the very end of the village ensuring peace and quiet. With two fully equipped kitchens on two separate floors two families can easily rent the villa jointly with a large degree of privacy and have the pool area for communal use. In the near vicinity there is a local vineyard producing great white, rose and red wines from a local selection of grapes, which is also worth a visit.brbrThe island Lefkas has a lot to offer including, Porto Katsiki (one of the best beaches in Greece), surfers paradise in Vasiliki, many small holiday towns like Nidri, Nikiana, Sivota og Ayios Nikitas, waterfall, vineyard, and boat hire to mention a few. One can also make day trips to neighboring islands like Kefalonia, Ithaki, Meganissi, Paxos og Zakintos.brbrIn Villa Melina you have all that you need, but we strongly recommend renting a car as the the local bus infrastructure is not the best. Accessed via a narrow, winding approach road the striking contrast between the emerald green waters of the bay and glistening white pebbles of the shoreline make this a popular spot for snorkelling as well as a favoured pausing point for passing yachts. Here you will find a couple of local tavernas, a minimarket, sun beds/shades for rent and occasional water sports (tip: be sure to arrive early if you want to secure a spot in the small beachside car park).brbrThe gently shelving sandy beach and waterside tavernas of Desimi are about a 15 minute drive as is Vlicho (8km) where several well stocked minimarkets and various excellent restaurants can be found.
