Come stay with us at Steelhead Creek Vineyards at our Tuscan Villa.

Large indoor dinning room for 8+. Outdoor kitchen, dinning and sitting area for 8+.

Very private and with breath taking views from 1400' above the valley floor. Hike the various trails, walk through the woods on the property or hike up one of the mountain hillsides on 200+ private acres.

Experience breathtaking vistas at 1400 feet. Have a picnic on the observation deck overlooking the valley and watchthe sun set or have a relaxed dinner on the barn patio with outdoor kitchen.

Gather at the villa with family or friends, where the inside and the outside spaces accommodate up to 8 guests. Bring jackets for cool, or even chilly, evenings all summer long. Enjoy easy access to scenic local towns and wineries in Sonoma County and the Napa Valley.

We are in the heart of Sonoma county, in the Fountaingrove AVA. We are close to Calistoga and St Helena in Napa, and are both wonderful places to spend an afternoon shopping, dining and soaking up local culture. The town of Sonoma is 18 miles away with a delightful square and equally fantastic restaurants, shops and people watching opportunities. Other destinations for lunch and an afternoon include Healdsburg, Petaluma, Sebastopol, and the Sonoma Coast. The drive is beautiful, among the most picturesque sceneries in the California wine country. It takes about 2.5 to 3 hours to make a full loop from the property through Calistoga, St Helena, Napa and back through Sonoma. It's a full day's drive with time for lunch and visits to wineries along the way.

We are in the Fountaingrove District AVA and our vineyards are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon. While we primarily sell our grapes to wineries and winemakers, we do make our own wine, and you'll find complimentary wine in your villa,

Your hosts,
Thai and Cynthia

We had a group of five couples stay in Thai and Cynthia's home. The property is stunning. The house is beautiful. The pictures do not do justice to the back patio. We ate all of our breakfasts and dinner out there, and loved the fire pit. We were a little nervous given the previous reviews regarding the roads to get to the house, however, we didn't find them to be an issue as long as you allow for the travel time. We went up to the observation deck on our last evening for a beautiful sunset. Our only regret is that we didn't have more time to explore the property. Thanks for a great stay!

Our family thoroughly enjoy our week stay at the Steelhead Creek Vineyard The home and casitas provided just the right space for us and the nature and peaceful atmosphere was perfect. We ventured out daily and returned to comfort and family time. The home has all the amenities needed and we opted to eat in most evenings- the drive in from the main road can be a little scary at night. Thank you for an awesome family vacation.

Our group has an absolutely wonderful stay at the villa. It was everything we imagined it would be. The main house, the guest cottages, the vineyards, and the pathways through the woods and around the property were all absolutely amazing! Thank you Thai and Cynthia!

We had twelve people in our group and the property was utterly perfect to provide everyone with sufficient space and a calm relaxing environment to enjoy an amazing weekend. The scenery is absolutely beautiful and the remoteness enhanced the inherent peacefulness. The house was absolutely beautiful and afforded a fantastic environment with fireplaces throughout and just an extremely comfortable environment on all fronts. Can't recommend it enough! Thanks Thai!

If you've ever had a dream of living on a vineyard, Steelhead Creek is straight out of central casting. It's everything you could ever create in your wildest wine country fantasy. We reserved Thai and Cynthia's stunning property for a 50th birthday celebration. It looked great in the VRBO listing and could accommodate our large group of women comfortably. But, the photos and video truly don't do justice to the actual property. The grounds are breathtaking. Lavender lining the winding driveway, killer views of the valley below, gorgeous landscaping, a barn, grapes...Pinch myself. Photos of the house don't come close to capturing the specific details - the tall ceilings, beautiful design, gorgeous floors, scale of the rooms. Both the living room and kitchen easily accommodate a large gathering of friends or family. The beds are very comfortable and have the best sheets, ever. The two guest houses on the property are well-equipped and lovely. Cynthia and Thai dropped off a birthday cake and flowers for our group, a very lovely gesture, and otherwise kept to themselves. On Thai's suggestion, we contacted their neighbor Chuck, owner of Volante Vineyards, for a wine tasting. He was a character and very patient with our large group. His wine was fantastic and reasonably priced. It was an ideal, casual way to spend our first evening. We spent Friday and Saturday in the hands of Woody with Woody's Wine Tours. He was, hands down, the highlight of a near-perfect weekend. An important note: The house is remote, which is part of the charm. It was a bit difficult to find at first. When Thai and Cynthia advise you to arrive before it gets dark, listen to them. The drive is windy and there are steep cliffs. Also, follow their directions and NOT the directions provided by most GPS apps. We recommend stopping at the Safeway for food/supplies because you won't want to leave the house once you get there. The earlier reviewer who complained about lack of saran wrap, etc., was being especially picky. The house is well-stocked with things you will need like dishes, toilet paper, soap, etc. .If running out of saran wrap will ruin your stay, buy it beforehand. (In fact, if this is something that bothers you, you might want to take up yoga.) Our entire group- all seasoned travelers - was blown away by Steelhead Creek Vineyards. We loved our stay here and can't recommend it highly enough.

This was a great property to gather friends for a 40th birthday celebration. We felt very spoiled and enjoyed the restful feeling of the property and looking down on the clouds! It is somewhat remote, but we enjoyed the balance of being able to access Sonoma and Napa valleys and wineries during the day and then retreat to the property for dinners. Thai was a very attentive and helpful host.

An incredible experience. We took our executive team for a retreat and chose this because of the two additional guest houses which would provide our team with more space. We had 11 people—this property could house 12 comfortably. We arrived in the dark, which was dicey because of the long windey road but this was worth every bit of travel. We woke in the morning to the most beautiful vineyard, trees, landscape (roses) and outdoor meeting space with firepit. The house is based on natural materials—rough-hewn floors, distressed wood, luxury with a rustic flare. Plenty of space to meet, eat, and retreat. We hired Lee Ann Geneve with the Gilded Grape to cater dinners and breakfasts—the best choice given the 30 to 50 minute drive to good restaurants. We brought wine in. This was excellent food—beyond what we could have ordered anywhere else. Thai and his wife, the property contacts, were very proactive in making sure we were cared for—communication was beyond my expectations. They left an excellent Steelhead Creek Vineyards Malbec for us. Two things to be mindful about—two bedrooms are linked by an adjoining door so you don’t want snorers in those close quarters, and pulling out of the long drive onto Calistoga is VERY dangerous. Don’t trust the corner to the left. This property receives our highest rating. I️ wouldn’t change a thing.
