'Villa Moderna' Ultimate Wine Country Estate. .WITH POOL

The house was fantastic with a wonderful view and the owner was a great host. We were greeted by the owner with a glass of champagne and taken on a quick tour so we felt right at home. Next door to Mayacama Golf Resort. Will stay there again.

The pictures and descriptions don't do this property justice - it is much better! We recently had a wonderful time enjoying this beautiful house, grounds, and views. The bedroom arrangements were perfect for all 4 couples; everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom. The owner was a delight to work with and offered excellent advice on local restaurants and attractions. We would recommend this property to even the most distinguishing seasoned travelers.

A group of friends (4 couples) got together to celebrate all the guys turning 40 this year. The house was PERFECT, & the owners were wonderful. We went wine tasting, golfed, etc - but had the most fun just hanging around the house. The views were gorgeous, there was plenty of room in the living areas for us to be together, & the bedrooms/bathrooms were perfectly situated to give each couple their own space. Thank you, thank you, thank you for a memorable weekend! Would definitely reccomend.

Eight of us stayed at Villa Moderna for a long weekend in September. As an interior designer and a huge fan of modern decor, this place could not have been more of a treat. The owner greeted us at the house, poured us glasses of wine and patiently & thoroughly went over all the luxurious amenities, and there were many. the master bathroom is breathtaking, as is the view and pretty much every aspect of the decor. it was impeccably clean and the grounds were beautifully landscaped. would highly recommend this place with absolutely no hesitation. a very special place.

Our group of 4 couples enjoyed this beautiful estate for three nights, four days, and left wishing we could stay longer. The home and guest cottage were immaculate and amenities provided by the Owner were first class. We could not have felt more welcomed or at home. We enjoyed the sunset each evening after our daily vinyard tours. We grilled out the first evening and two couples cancelled dinner reservations on the last night so we could enjoy more time at the Villa. With more than one living area, spacious bedrooms and baths, and inviting outdoor visiting areas, there was plenty of privacy for four couples, which was a priority.The Shiloh Canyon area is quiet and secluded, with gorgeous views and beautiful wildlife. I would not hesitate to recommend this fabulous home, made even more attractive by the hospitality of the Owner.

villa modern is one of the nicest houses ive ever stayed in and ive rented quite a few houses from vrbo. we go up to tahoe a lot during the winter and a few weekends in the summer are spent in different spots around the bay area as well. david was super gracious in negotiating a rate. there are some owners that are really actually pretty mean when it comes to negotiating. the house is straight out of an interior design magazine with marble floors and leather couches like the ones you see at ligne rosset or roche bobois. the bathrooms are stocked with mini shampoos and conditioners so you dont have to bring your own. the detached cottage is in similar shape as the main house. there have been cases where the cottages are not in the photos for a reason but not at villa moderna! the kitchen was a joy to cook in. with two dishwashers, there was no stress about having dirty dishes. the center island made it very social as people could gather and talk etc. perhaps the most breathtaking part about the house was the views and surrounding grounds. the deck next to the hot tub was comfortable for dinner or lounging as were the lounge chairs in front of the living room. the sunset was really nice from there. the hot tub itself was also a conversation piece for days! it had color changing lights and also its own built in speakers! stars were very clearly visible from the tub. upon arrival craig came to greet us and show us around the house. there were even cheese and crackers to welcome us. way above and beyond what we expected! i think any renter would be in awe of the house, the surrounding, and the owners.

Villa Moderna is the ideal setting for a wine country getaway. The house, decor and amenities leave nothing to be desired. We had four couples for the weekend and were wanting for nothing in the spacious accommodations--we will certainly be back for more in the future.
