This is the third year in a row we’ve stayed at this property. We absolutely love it! Watching the sunrise, drinking coffee, combing the beaches even at night is amazing! There’s so much to do and not far away. The hosts are wonderful about communicating and everything was easy to handle with check-in and out. Highly recommend!

all the charm of an old log cabin, all the amenities and modern comforts you could need. The main town (with an abundance of food and shopping options) is only a 5 minute drive. Lots of parks (if you even want to venture out of this beautiful community) are also within a short drive.

This was a wonderful stay. It is very, very quiet and peaceful and the view of the Bay is amazing. The home was as advertised. There is a tiny beach within easy walking distance. I've still not tried the nearby trails, but my friend ran them a bit and loved them. We are already talking about when we can return.

The property was exactly as described and imaged on the listing. The welcome pack sent by Ginny was so helpful and answered every question we had and more. I loved watchin the beautiful sunrise every morning that rose directly in front of the house. My favorite was the access to the private community beaches. We found tons of fossils and shark teeth. Already trying to figure out when I can come back. Everything was perfect and we had the best time. Thank you for sharing your home and community with us.

Our second stay at Stone’s Throw cabin and it is even lovelier in the Spring! We enjoyed nearby hiking on the American Chestnut Land Trust trails, and many hours playing board and card games while watching the serene view of the Bay. This cabin is welcoming and warm with excellent amenities. We will be back this fall or sooner!

What a VIEW! Sunrises and Moonrises over the Chesapeake Bay - wow. Watch eagles and ospreys soar by at eye level. Walk the beaches an find fossil shark teeth and shells. Hike the woods and ravines in the community or next door at the American Chestnut Land Trust. Great for the nature enthusiast. The cabin is very cozy with wood everywhere, a loft and a stone fireplace. Very comfortable. Can sit at the table on the enclosed porch and view the Bay through the wall of windows. Fantastic place to stay.

The cabin was a nice retreat. Its about 2 to 3 miles into the woods, up to a short cliff. It felt like a quiet respite, but was still close to all amenities in Prince Frederick. The cabin was clean and the view was beautiful. Typically, the owner requires the renters to bring their own sheets and towels which I had been unaware of. If one drives there, it may not be an issue okay. But it wasn't possible for us flying. The owner may make accommodation for you for those sheets and towels. The owner was nice and personable and communicated

This trip was flawless (other than me forgetting an important bag and having to go back home to get it!). Checkin was a breeze and the cabin was super clean with a well equipped kitchen. The decor has so many interesting things to look at but is not overdone or cluttered - I felt at home right away. Nothing compares to the view and seclusion. Since it was cold and wintery I spent lots of time sitting in the cozy porch chairs reading an excellent book. A true gem of a place!!!

This cabin is so cozy with a lot of homey touches. You can tell the owners love this property and take great care of it. We loved going down to the water looking for sharks teeth and found a bunch. We will definitely be returning here.

All the convenience of having multiple supermarkets, excellent restaurants, shops, parks and more but yet... retreat into an absolutely lovely community away from all the bustle (just a short drive!) Once in said community you can enjoy the spectacular cliffside views from a neatly apportioned log cabin. Log cabin you say? Sure but you won't be left in the technological past with super fast wifi, sling TV and all the appliances you will need in the fully stocked kitchen. Every year I go back and there are improvements. When you have the gumption you can saunter on down to the main beach (under a 5 min drive) for a stroll between the rolling waters of the Chesapeake and the beautiful Calvert Cliffs towering above. Watch hawks, eagles and other birds glide on the thermals hunting for prey (and diving into the water). On the rare occasion I have had any issue it was taken care of rapidly.

Another great trip in the books. While we arrived at the same time as a tropical depression brought in rain, wind and high water - we were able to enjoy the beauty of Scientists Cliffs and this wonderful cabin. We did puzzles at the table, looking out into the bay – and the Eagles put on a fantastic show flying at our eye level. On Thursday, we awoke to a magnificent sunrise and the weather cleared up. We had a beautiful day on the bay. We can’t wait to return.

We had a very nice stay at this nostalgic cabin. We kayaked, hiked, did puzzles and cards and swam in the pool. We took a day trip to Annapolis. The only thing that we weren’t prepared for is not being able to get in the water due to the over abundance of jellyfish. Otherwise it was a pleasant family vacation.

Family vacation. 2 boys, ages 9 and 11, who are talking about returning every year. Cottage was cute and we'll appointed. The walk to the closest beach was fine. Boating had to be done by driving to a different beach. The kitchen had everything we needed. Would have been great to have an outside plug to plug the Tesla into. Air conditioning worked great, but bed in loft was unusable because of extraordinary heat outside the week we were there, so my son slept on an air mattress on the floor. The single bed is not actually a bed but rather a daybed with thin mattress in the living room. Access to the pool was great, in a wonderfully run community. Would repeat a stay there if we were to return.

This is the second time we have rented this cabin. We hope there will be a 3rd, a 4th, etc....There are not enough superlatives to accurately describe the cabin and surrounding area. If you rent this property, you will never have a regret.
