Stayed Jun 2, 2025We thoroughly enjoyed our four night stay at the Wakulla River Retreat! The house was extremely clean and everything was in good working order. The furniture and beds were very comfortable and all linens were immaculate. The property is very private and the neighborhood is quiet and safe. The listing and photos are accurate and provide a true sense of the home.Sarah was very responsive to questions and is an excellent hostess even providing baked treats for our stay. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Stayed Feb 22, 2025First time staying in the Crawfordville area. Came to see and visit the Wakulla Springs lodge and park. The house was absolutely perfect. Comfortable and cozy, this property is tucked back in the woods with a short walk to the small community dock. If you are looking for a quiet retreat this is the place for you. Would definitely stay here again!

Stayed Oct 28, 2024If you’re visiting Crawfordville, I cannot recommend this home enough. Sarah was an incredible host - communicative, helpful, and extremely dedicated to addressing any minor issue we had. The house is beautiful, private, and tucked away down a long driveway. A short walk away is a public dock with kayaks - we took these out several times. The Wakulla river is very peaceful and full of amazing wildlife. We saw all sorts of birds, some small alligators, and were even joined down the river for a bit by a friendly manatee - just be sure to keep a respectful distance, it’s illegal and unethical to bug them. There’s all sorts of amazing things to see in the area, from Wakulla Springs to St Mark’s wildlife refuge. Both are very much worth your time. We plan to return to the area as soon as we can, and I can’t imagine us booking any other place to stay. Thanks again, Sarah!

Stayed May 2, 2024Second time staying here and I'll book here from now on. Perfect in all ways but for it is 35 minutes from FSU which is both a good thing and a bad thing. Clean, in a tranquil area, right next to the river, nicely decorated, and the owner has thought of everything. It was my son's graduation, and she left goodies and a balloon and graduation cup. Super thoughtful!

Stayed Apr 18, 2024Just book it! It's a great house that felt secluded. It is surrounded by woods with no views of any neighbors. There are multiple porches to enjoy nature and relax. The river is a short walk to a community park with a dock. The river was absolutely beautiful. There are benches so we walked down to the dock every night to enjoy the views. We also really enjoyed being able to take out the kayaks and explore. Wakulla Springs is a 10 minute drive away and a great place to spend the day. The host, Sarah, was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond. We had the best time!

Stayed Dec 13, 2023My husband and I stayed at this property while visiting friends and family in Tallahassee. We loved being so close to the river and having access to a canoe. The property is very quiet and in a lovely quiet neighborhood. We had everything we needed during our stay. The home is updated and beautiful.
