Stayed Jul 8, 2025A wonderful lakehouse in Talkeetna. Plenty of space in the house for a large group. Pristine lake with views of Mt. McKinley on good weather days. My only knock is a lack of blackout curtains during the 20+ hrs of daylight in the summer. Bring a sleep mask. Overall, it's a great place! I hope to come back!

Stayed Jul 3, 2025Beautiful home. Saw loons and moose out on the lake, as well as mosquitoes (pack bug spray). We had a SUP and canoe to use, but not the sea plane! House had so much space for my family to spread out.

Stayed May 29, 2025Our group of friends had an incredible time at Whitney's home in Talkeetna. We loved the wide open kitchen/dining/living room space for hanging out, group meals and just spending time together. The views are to die for and enjoying a glass of wine on the deck while the loons were calling was so peaceful and relaxing! The locations of the bedrooms/bathrooms were great so that everyone had their own space too, when needed. The house has it all - gym, paddleboards, tv, reading nooks, stocked kitchen - it is set up fantastically for a fun AK adventure. There are even two docks! One is great for hanging out, swimming and lounging, while the other is a great parking spot if you decide to arrive by float plane! Close enough to town to be able to easily go and enjoy all that Talkeetna has to offer but also far enough away to escape any noise and activity. It truly felt like a secluded retreat in the woods that left our group feeling rejuvenated, relaxed and happy! Thanks Whitney, for a wonderful vacation spot, we would gladly return again!Oh, and we even saw a porcupine wander by!
