Stayed Aug 1, 2025We enjoyed our stay on top of Roan Mountain. The cabin was so nice. The views were incredible and we had a great stay. We check in process was seamless as we had great communication with Julie and Brad. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfortable and it was a great stay. I highly recommend this cabin to all.

Stayed Jun 6, 2024We spent most off our time on the deck, gazing at the mountains surrounding us. Furniture and beds were comfortable and kitchen was well-equipped. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed May 9, 2024For Mother's Day weekend, my wife and I decided to stay at Roan Mountain for three nights and go on some wildflower hikes. The location was perfect for accessing hiking trails such as Carver's Gap and Roan Mountain State Park. As another guest mentioned, the photos do not do justice to the breathtaking view from the deck. The misty layers of mountains extended far north, and we were able to watch the sunrise over the mountain east of the cabin. We also enjoyed watching various birds from the comfort of the deck, where I was able to identify at least a dozen species. The inside of the cabin was clean and had all necessary amenities, including cooking supplies. If you prefer eating out, the town of Roan Mountain is just a fifteen-minute drive away with several restaurant options, including a delicious Mexican spot we tried on our first night. There is also a well-stocked grocery store in town. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and appreciate your hospitality. Thank you!

Stayed Oct 28, 2023The photos of this place do it no justice-- can't quite put into words what a phenomenal view from the porch and pretty well everywhere inside you still can see. Took my mom on a hiking trip and cancelled a few hikes just so we could sit on the porch and enjoy the quiet, peacefullness of those views. Hosts were easy to communicate with and friendly, check in was a breeze and the place had everything you'd need and then some. We cant wait to come back many, many more times hopefully!!

Stayed Oct 2, 2023Staying in this location for the third time I feel like I am coming home. Julie is always quick to respond with any questions or issues. When you drive up the road, you will notice that her property is the only one with a clear view of the mountains and a gorgeous sunrise. If you enjoy cooking, there are no supplies you will need to bring. When you sit on the porch, you hear nothing but the wind and the birds. As she mentions in the house description, there is no Internet access, but you have the ability to phone text give and receive emails. Cable TV is available with multiple channels if the beauty of the mountains is not enough for you. Being only 3 miles from carvers gap, we took advantage of being able to hike to round ball for sunset pictures. This was and will continue to be our first choice in cabins at Roan Mountain.
