Totally Remodeled 1930's House w/Firepit & Deck close to Outdoor Adventures.

The house is very nice inside! Did not get to use the firepit or deck due to rain off and on thru the days we were there. We did have a minor issue with the toilet not always flushing. I think it may have been an issue outside of the house. Very relaxing and accomodating. Close to what we wanted to do. Great view out the front windows. Information provided if you're not sure what you want to do. Owners are quick to answer any message sent.

Larry and Theresa are the best hosts possible. The house is immaculate. We had a great stay, very close to the hiking trails in the area so if your in the area and need a place to stay I highly recommend, plus they gave us some new trails to hike. THANKS!!!

This accomodation was perfect for my grpup of 4 climbers. Everything is updated and the place was perfectly clean when we arrived. We especially appreciated the laundry access, the plentiful bath towels, and the comfortable mattresses. The place is climate controlled which was aslo great. If we had more time we wpuld have loved to make use of the fire pit and its awesome that the wood is provided. Overall it exceeded our expectations and was an excellent stay! Note: bring salt, pepper, cooking oil as these were not provided. There is a keurig for coffee but not quite enough pods for 4 people/day. Good thing we are tea drinkers!

Amazing place to stay. So comfortable and clean. Lots to do around this area, so it was conveniently located. Host is attentive and flexible. The only suggestion I have is a fence around the yard and some lights in the back yard area. Being dog friendly is fantastic, but the fear of wild animals that could come out of the darkness and also having to keep our dog leashed was not ideal. Other than that, very peaceful (minus main road noise) and quaint. Would absolutely stay here again if we are traveling to this area in the future. Great place for my small family!

Great location near tons of activities.

The house was easy to find and host was accommodating. Very clean and spacious. Although road traffic can be heard, it did slow down at night. Sound machines in bedrooms were nice to have on.

We were very happy with Myrtle’s Place. It was convenient to all the things were looking to do. We had a wedding in Anstead and then we wanted to hangout in Fayetteville and Lansing. The house was fantastic! It was great for the space and amenities. Next time we come we hope to use the fire pit! Thanks for making our stay so great!!!

Clean; Convenient to park; Great communication; Comfortable bed and pillows; Fantastic water pressure; Everything was easy to find in the house. Only negative is the road was a little busier than we expected. Took away from the ambiance of the mountains. Not taking away a star for this. We spent more time exploring than at the property. Just depends on what’s important to you! When we sat by the fire was the only time it bothered me. Sound machines in the bedrooms for blocking out road noise at night. Super thoughtful!

The house was completely redone and updated. The home was very clean and kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cooking items. I will say that if you are a light sleeper than the road noise could be challenge which was a issue for my wife. I am a very heavy sleeper so it didn’t really bother me. I found it better to back in the driveway by using the gravel on the side of the road at the driveway and just beyond it to back in. Over all, a good place for our retreat for the long weekend.

The house and location was outstanding.Very clean, certainly updated,on a beautiful piece of property The road noise is noticeable but not terrible, close to the parks as well as other things that make it convenient. I would stay at Myrtle’s Place again.

Clean and cute home, fully equipped kitchen. Close to many attractions we had planned for the trips.

Such a cute house on the inside! It was a good landing spot for the national park and other activities. It was close to a well stocked local grocery store. The kitchen was well stocked and the house was very clean.

This was our second stay at Myrtle’s place and we loved it. Highly recommend. Very convenient to have a Piggly Wiggly grocery store just a minute away from the house.

Amazing stay! Everything was absolutely perfect. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Very close to Hawk’s Nest State Park, New River Gorge, and Babcock State Park. We will definitely be back soon!

Wonderful cottage! So clean and welcoming! Close to New River Gorge- which was great! Well stocked kitchen.

The house does not look like much on the outside, but when you open the door, it is beautifully redone and decorated with nice furniture, complete kitchen and comfortable beds. We were very happy with our stay.

This remodeled cottage is lovely and very comfortable. The house is well appointed with everything we needed for our stay. The location was perfect for our adventure in the New River Gorge and surrounding area. The back deck is perfect for dark sky gazing.

Beautiful, clean property. Out away from the main hustle and bustle but still a simple 15 minutes to downtown fayetville. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

The property is cozy, comfy, and modern. The bed is comfortable, and the wifi is good which I was thankful for since we had no cell service around here. Plenty of room for the dog to run around. We really enjoyed the fire pit and appreciated the plentiful firewood that was provided. It could be a little loud with the road being close by and people going fast, but there is a sound machine provided in the bedrooms which was very thoughtful.

Myrtle’s place was such an adorable little place. Beautifully remodeled and so very clean! The home was perfectly located to access all New River Gorge had to offer. Great restaurants in Fayetteville which was only a 15 minute drive. Everything was so beautiful! I highly recommend driving the Fayette Station road to see the old bridge and learning the history. We also loved the trails at Hawks Nest. If you like hiking, waterfalls and nature, Myrtle’s Place is the perfect home base. The hosts are very kind and responsive. I left something behind and they are so kind to go back and search for me! If I’m in NRG again, I’m staying at Myrtle’s Place!

Comfy beds, functional kitchen, clean home, cozy vibes.

Overall a great little house! Had the kitchen stocked and a nice fire pit out back. They did have some dusty nightstands, the night lights in the kids beds didn’t work, there were some spiderwebs on the ceiling and a thick layer of dust on the ceiling fans but that’s nothing compared to some other places we have stayed. Great location and beautiful property!

Great cabin for a weekend away! Very clean and exactly as pictured. We were very comfortable.

We stayed here while visiiting realitives. The home was nice and comfortable. Didn't stay there during the day , just to sleep. I wish the television provided had a local channel to see the weather radar for the area. We had some weather approaching one night and had to depend on our phones for updates on the storm.

The house is well stocked and clean. It was comfortable and a convenient starting point for exploring the northern end of the national park and nearby areas.

We came to this property for my 30th birthday. It was the first birthday trip I’ve done in sobriety. This property was SO clean, it smelled great upon check in. The host was always available for my MANY questions throughout the trip, and even gave some recommendations for food. The beds are so comfy and the couches were great for lounging and watching movies. Very comfortable. We didn’t get to use the fire pit, but only because we were too tired at the end of the day to start one! The only “complaint” I had, was the last night. We had 20mph winds, and it made the wood walls creak, snap, pop, very very loud, al night long. I was unable to sleep at all, and that’s with the sound machines on. Obviously, 20mph winds won’t be happening every single day, so it’s just something to be wary of if you plan to travel during a storm. Otherwise, best trip ever. We had sober cocktails, watched movies, and played the switch when we weren’t out hiking or exploring.

We stayed here on a visit to New River Gorge NP with our small dog. The house is cute and had everything we needed. We were very comfortable. It is close to everything we needed. Loved the decor and it was very homey. The only negative would be we arrived in pouring rain and it was quite dark and muddy, could’ve used a little more outdoor lighting and maybe a clear walkway. But, that is not a deal breaker. We highly recommend a stay here!

This place was perfect. Exactly as described. It exceeded my expectations. Fully accommodating (except food). A home away from home. I would higly recommend and would stay here again.

This house was so cute & nice! Beautiful & newly renovated! I will definitely be coming back with friends & family again in the future! A few minor things I will mention are the lights above the twin beds didn’t work. I noticed they were push button lights so I’m sure the batteries may have been dead. But I would suggest a small lamp on the nightstand. Also maybe some hooks in the bathroom for towels since we had multiple people staying while we were there. And maybe a handheld shower head. My brother is almost 6 ft so he had to squat down to get completely under the water to shower. All of these are just suggestions. We didn’t have any problems & thoroughly enjoyed our stay so much!! Larry & Lane were extremely nice which helped so much! Thank you for such a lovely stay!!

The property was true to the photos and description. The location was just perfect for exploring all the wonderful hiking in the area! We would stay here again for sure!

Had a wonderful stay @ Myrtle's. Quick short get away for our Anniversary with our pup. Great place in a good location. Minutes from several point of interest in NR and surrounding areas. First place ive ever been to that was the exactly like the pictures. Wished we could've stayed longer but will definitely not hesitate to book again ❤️ Thank you The Smiths

My husband and I stayed for a week to visit New River Gorge National Park. The house had everything we needed and was very clean! Good location! Would stay again!
