The ‘Derby House’ pays homage to Lancaster’s jockeys racing their horses on the thoroughfare known as Lime St. In wintertime, the excitement of these races gave way to horse-drawn carriages and the ringing of sleigh-bells, kids frolicking, and the bustling of a developing community. The home clearly captures Lancaster’s historic past, while providing todays visitors a short walk to the best shops, restaurants, breweries, theaters, and the Lancaster Convention Center!r>The ‘Derby House’ was recently restored with thoughtful touches throughout. The space hints to a past when things were simpler while highlighting the creature comforts one demands of today's modern spaces. Tasteful accent lighting, hardwood floors, and high quality linens ensure a good night's rest, while the smart tv and Xfinity high speed internet provide travelers the peace of mind of staying connected. The home is filled with morning and afternoon light, and offers enough space for six guests to enjoy comfortably. The apartment home’s entrance is easily accessed from S. Lime St. (See check-in link). Enter through the front, blue double doors at the front of the home. Once inside, the entry door to the home is directly ahead . All areas of the home are secure and have outdoor security cameras. The included off-street parking space is accessed from the alley behind the home off of Church St.

The city is inter-connected by rivers and parks and side alleys that are sure to leave an impression. For those looking to travel by car, you'll appreciate the lack of traffic often found in larger metropolitan cities. If you take a car, be mindful of our local horse carriages and buggies often found traveling in our community and back-country roads.
