The Chestnut Hill Getaway

This townhouse is in a nice area close to many restaurants and shops. But the sheets smelled so musty we had to strip the beds and wash the sheets. The coffee pot did not operate correctly and the coffee tasted awful. We got locked out because the keypad did not work and had to wait outside for the renter to respond and ultimately she had to come and replace the batteries. We politely asked for a discount for our troubles which she refused. We love Lancaster and have stayed at many places that we loved but this host did not respond to our concerns in a satisfactory manner.

This property was in a great location and had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and the towels in the baths were high quality. The only negative, and it is a mild one that can’t be addressed, is the the stairs as very steep, which made for an awkward descent in the mornings and could be difficult for those with bad knees or for small children. It wasn’t a big enough issue than we would have not booked, but it is something that would have been good to know in advance. The hosts were very responsive and though we didn’t require it, their offer to have a parking permit available for us was very thoughtful. We would stay here again.

Beautiful home. Everything was as stated in description. Great location. Within walking distance of many restaurants, Buchanan Park and West Art venue.

The home was exactly as listed. Very clean. Clear communication. Parking could have been confusing due to road work and permit restrictions but the host provided a clear, map at check in that made it a breeze. Stayed with 4 adults and 2 kids; all had enough room. We stayed due to a lax tournament about 10 minutes away. Loved the space and the access to restaurants between/after games. Would stay again.

Lovely home, very clean, and close enough to walk to the downtown area. The host was absolutely wonderful! We would absolutely stay here again!

The location was perfect for attending graduation. Several near by restaurants and coffee shops as well as an easy walk to Franklin and Marshall.

This was our second time staying at this charming home. Close to downtown, easy check-in, just like the pictures online. We will definitely stay here again.

We stayed at 417 Lancaster for my son’s basketball tourney. Myself, my son and three team mates. The house was cool. The egg air conditioning works fabulous. It was very comfortable and inviting.

Overall this VRBO was excellent. The house is on a residential street and located within walking distance to some great restaurants and shopping. THE PROS: Location-We walked to several places during our stay. Located close to Central Market and restaurants. Comfort-The house is modern, decorated beautifully, has 3 large bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms. Washer,dryer and dishwasher. Cleanliness- The house was very clean. Plenty of towels, trash bags, etc.
