Talkeetna Eastside Cabins -Nook,Unit #2, Reasonable rates, Family Friendly,Yurts

The property was conveniently located a short walk into town. We found it easily due to excellent directions. Parking in front of the unit is also very convenient. In addition- the property was very clean and communication from the host was good. Things to know about the property: the nook is exactly the size of a queen mattress so if you are sharing the bed, the person sleeping on the inside has to climb over their companion to get out. (The nook was described in the VRBO post). The curtain described as a privacy curtain is actually translucent and provides minimal privacy. The nook window shades are not blackout shades so bring eyes shades if you are sensitive to light. The “fireplace” is actually an electric space heater designed to look like a small wood stove. There is no heat in the bathroom. The upstairs is not full height. You will need to crouch if you are over 5’8”.

The property was super cute and very quiet. My favorite was being able to access the sauna. I would definitely stay here again!

Everything was as advertised. The cabin had everything we needed.

We enjoyed our brief stay in Talkeetna along the way to Anchorage.

Super cute place and just what we needed for a weekend :)

We were two couples - all on our 70’s. The downstairs “nook” bedroom required one person to climb over another to get in or out. Kitchen space was wanting. There was barely enough silverware for meals (had to supplement with our own). Heating was barely adequate.Hosts were friendly and accommodating.

Very cute place but furniture could use an update. Upstairs beds were hard and not very comfortable.

Great place close to downtown. Perfect one night stay. Ease of access and parking were great. Had everything needed.

Great little place, had everything we needed. 15-20 walk into town which was nice. Wish there was maybe a small table on the deck to sit and enjoy the beautiful property.

We liked the cabin but the hot water was shut down at night. It was inconvenient.

Cute property and location is easy walk to Main Street. We enjoyed the sauna. The extra bed nook was quirky for adult couple.

Quaint, rustic cabin. Perfect for an overnight stay on our way to Denali. Would stay here again. Loved the notch bed on the 1st floor. Cute architectural design. Conveniently located close to downtown. Would definitely stay here again.

Cozy and great location!

My three kids and I stayed at this property on our way to Denali. It was the perfect location, easy access to get into Talkeetna and then head to the park. Recommend.

As an Alaskan, we showing friends and family little gems like Talkeetna for the first time. Three of us stayed in the Nook at Eastside Cabins and it was the perfect for us. A 10 min. walk to downtown, and our place was comfy and cozy. Perfect affordable place for a weekend stay.

This was the perfect spot for our family of 4! We had everything we needed and enjoyed being just a short walk from town. The home was accurately listed, clean, and well equipped. The beds were comfy and I loved crawling into the nook to sleep each night. My husband enjoyed the sauna. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Talkeetna and an easy day trip to Denali NP then definitely book this home!
