Stayed Oct 15, 2024We drove north to Jonesboro for family, and visited MDI. This was a great, central location for our Down East and Acadia travels. Tastefully updated home is a wonderful mix of old and new. Very clean, fully stocked, and spacious with plenty of comfortable beds. The owner was responsive and helpful. We would love to stay here again if we return to the area.

Stayed Oct 3, 2024This property is a treasure. My family and I enjoyed this 1865 sugar maple farmhouse, which had just enough updating to make it comfortable while preserving its rich history. The artwork gave it an authentic Arcadia feel. It is tucked away in a quiet community and an easy drive to shopping, restaurants and of course Arcadia. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed Sep 24, 2024What an amazing property! Beautiful fenced-in yard was great for our mini dachshunds. The artwork decorating the house really makes the house special. A big and well equipped kitchen and just a wonderful warm feel overall made for a great getaway.

Stayed Sep 14, 2024Very nice country home with a beautiful yard and fire pit! It was a nice easy drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor. Everything was clean, comfortable, and cozy. The host was delightful and quick with responses to my questions. The host was also very helpful with the favorites list they provided. We tried a couple of the faves and they were excellent and are now my favorites. Will definitely come back to this one.

Stayed Sep 10, 2024This is a gem for all families looking to spend time together while having access to Acadia and all the best of New England nature nearby! We LOVED the exquisite kitchen and the fenced in backyard, especially for our pup! There are plenty of room to spread out (as one can appreciate when they’re spending a bit too much time with your family). The kitchen is well stocked with most things and we especially loved the high heat gas stove. Would 100% Stay again. :)

Stayed Aug 4, 2024This house is very well appointed and was perfect for our group! It is located on a quiet street away from the crowds, but easily accessible to Acadia on Mt Desert and Schoodic Peninsula. The fenced backyard was perfect for our dogs, and the deck and fire pit area were great for relaxing evenings and stargazing. Thanks for a great week!

Stayed Jul 28, 2024This is an older house in a quiet setting. Property manager was very responsive to our questions. Plenty of room for our family of 5. We made pancakes one night to use the maple syrup given to us. Around 1/2 to get to Bar Harbor. We liked the cards and Uno decks to play cards at night.

Stayed Jul 20, 2024We had a wonderful week exploring beautiful Maine, with the Sugar Maple Farmhouse as a lovely home base. The house has loads of space, charm and beauty. The backyard fire pit was a great place to hang out and recap the day. The house is well situated, about 25 minutes from many Maine highlights in the area (Bar Harbor, Acadia, Southwest Harbor, Winter Harbor ... ).

Stayed Jun 14, 2024This was the perfect girls trip. There were 5 of us that stayed here. Plenty of room for all of us. We were able to spread out and everyone was comfortable. The house was close to all the activities we had planned. Favorite night was sitting out by the fire pit eating s’mores.

Stayed Jun 9, 2024This home is a wonderful example of an older farm house with modern conveniences. Great country setting with close proximity to Bar Harbor. We would absolutely stay here again. My daughter and I loved having a piano and guitar there as well. Thank you!
