Stayed Aug 29, 2025Loved the many bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone in a big family. Enjoyed the starry night and the quiet of the neighborhood. Nice nest after a full day of hiking at beautiful Acadia. Ray is a very reliable person, very fast in responding.

Stayed Aug 2, 2025This is a wonderful (old) house with lots of space. The bedrooms are nicely separate, making it perfect for any group of people that would like some level of privacy. The outdoor fire pit is especially nice. It is 25-30 minute distance from Acadia and Bar Harbor, which we did not find an obstacle. It has a large dinging room table perfect for dinner and games. The kitchen is well furnished. Really perfect for a family visit to Acadia.

Stayed Jun 16, 2025We were two families, gathered for our son and daughter's wedding nearby, so it was great to have space to spread out and a nice big dining room and table for meals. The owner was ultra-responsive to needs and requests.

Stayed Sep 28, 2024The Farmhouse advertised in this listing lived up to its charm and comfort for our stay. It was the perfect place for us to explore Acadia National Park and Mt. Desert Island without the intense crowds and cost in Bar Harbor itself. We would return to this place in a heartbeat!

Stayed Sep 21, 2024We had a wonderful stay at this cozy farmhouse in the country. Our host, Ray, told us the rich history of the house which made it even more special. The beds were very comfortable, and the house was very clean! It was a perfect place for our family to gather. The nearby town of Ellsworth offered plenty of restaurants, and the 30 minute drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia was beautiful!!

Stayed Aug 24, 2024The house is very charming and comfortable especially the beds! We slept very well! It's not too far from all the places we wanted to visit (Bar Harbor & Acadia State Park). The area is quiet and relaxing and the host, Ray, is very nice and easy to communicate with. The water pressure took a bit to fully kick in but that's all. Beautiful place to stay. Loved the house!

Stayed Jul 6, 2024We spent a week in this house while visiting Acadia at peak season. We were 5 adults and 1 dog. The house is a quirky old farm house that was clean and inviting upon arrival. Communication with host worked well and the kitchen was well equipped. Our favorite part was being away from the crowds inside desert island and the close proximity to Lamoine beach - we ended up going there every morning and every night.

Stayed May 23, 2024Great location half-way between Winter Harbor and Bar Harbor. The house is nicely decorated, spacious, very clean and had everything we needed. It's located in a very pretty, quiet neighborhood. The sun room was perfect to set up a puzzle table. We had a camp fire one nit in the fire pit. We would definitely love to stay there again.
