Stayed May 23, 2025Great experience from the first contact with Geraldine - she clearly enjoys being a welcoming host and that impression was reinforced by the picturesque garden and homely interior of the property, plus the generous and unexpected supplies. Not quite off the grid as you still have wifi and close to Rotorua.

Stayed Apr 18, 2025Do yourself a favour and stay here. The location is sublime, there's everything you could need in the cottage, and the host is beyond kind and helpful. Rotorua is an easy drive away (without the crowds and volcanic smells), and it's convenient to a multitude of other ways to while away a relaxing break. We'd happily return.

Stayed Nov 6, 2024Property was very nice! I do wish I read the property listing a little closer about the heat source being a free-standing fireplace and a space heater. However, it all worked out. Geraldine was very responsive and catered very well to a dietary restriction we had so many thanks for that :) ! Sitting on the deck with a glass of wine and watching the sun go down was awesome!

Stayed Mar 9, 2024Geraldine welcomed us with so many lovely touches, we were completely overwhelmed. The cottage was even better than described - beautifully furnished - and surrounded by expertly tended gardens, full of interesting plants and artifacts. Lake Rotorua changed constantly so was great to sit out with a drink and enjoy the peaceful views. Wonderful to be away from the busy town, but it was easy to get to everything we wanted. A very good decision!
