Country Comfort at Hamurana is hugely popular with the farm animals onsite

We had a great time at this property, house was clean and tidy and the games and massage chair were a hit with our group.

Good sized home for business break away

We couldn't have been happier with our stay in Hamurana. The house is huge, well laid out and the amenities are broad and well set up for entertaining, indoors and outside. The massage chair being particular popular with our group. The kitchen has ample equipment and very easy to create a 3 course meal in, while keeping the social atmosphere for the chef. With a central location in the middle of the country, many more of our friend group could join in. We all agreed we would be back.

The house was perfect for our extended family of 11. So much space & beautifully presented.

Everything with stay was really good all facilities were available but when booking an extra cleaning fees and linen fees of 500 was added which was a bit extensive and when leaving site

We enjoyed the spa and pool/table tennis, but everything was quite old: the “gym” equipment wasn’t working when I tried to get on the cross trainer - it didn’t have batteries and wasn’t plugged in so I couldn’t choose workouts etc.What really made it quite tough to stay here is that the home had a mould-y smell overall and one of the bedrooms we were going to use had wet carpet near the window and the room smelled very strongly of mould! Because we couldn’t use that one bedroom, 4 of us (2 adults and our 8 yo and 4 yo) had to cram into one room with a queen bed, and my husband had to move a mattress onto the floor, which was quite uncomfortable for him! Not what we expected or looked forward to for the price we paid for this property per night. I wouldn’t stay here again, and wouldn’t recommend to anyone either. It was sadly, quite an un-enjoyable and un-fulfilling experience, and we couldn’t wait to leave this place.What really made it quite tough to stay here is that the home had a mould-y smell overall and one of the bedrooms we were going to use had wet carpet near the window and the room smelled very strongly of mould! Upon arrival, our adult children said,Why aren't we staying here our entire time in New Zealand?' Two nights was not enough to fully enjoy this spacious house and all its amenities.

This is an amazing place to stay! We had a large family group of 4 generations from 5 months to 78 years old and we all had plenty of room to spread out and be comfortable. The whole place was well stocked for large family groups. The outdoor area was amazing with lots of seating for everyone. We had no complaints at all and were sad to leave after our week there. Highly recommended for any trip to the Rotorua area!

We were visiting our family in Rotorua from the states side. Awesome house with lots of bedrooms and bathrooms to share. Garage was fun for the kids. Cute animals on the property:) It was a perfect location for us. Lots of activities near by. All communications were very quick and easy! We would love to go back!!

Very big house, very comfortable and a lot of activities.

This was a great place to connect with family, share meals and come back to after a day of Adventure! Grateful!

The location was perfect for my group of 3 families with all kids under the age of 6. The space offered for the kids was ideal, with farm animals in close proximity to the lodging. We did not once need to reach out to the house owners during our trip as everything was in order, thought out and working well!

Brilliant spot for a relaxing catch up with friends.

There was great communication with Norman and they were able to address all questions we had. We had a wonderful time here. This would be an awesome summer stay with how the garage is set up. We were grateful for the hospitality!

This is a beautiful property in a wonderful location but the cleanliness of the kitchen dining area in particular was not up to standard. Apart from a rat having been resident before we were there with very visual evidence and very bad stench of rat urine there has also been mice evidence in cupboards and cutlery draw. I doubt any of these drawers and cupboards have been cleaned in a long time. I did contact the property manager and he did come back to me but I didn’t consider his reply satisfactory. I paid top dollar to rent this property and definitely expected the conditions to be top notch.
