STARRY RIDGE Retreat: Champlain & Mtn Vistas

We are return visitors - both this stay and out last were relaxing and restorative. The home is exactly as pictured, incredible lake views included. Although Grand Island is probably a less popular location in the winter, we think its incredibly peaceful while still being just a short drive to Burlington. The radiant floor heating, fireplace, puzzle table and huge windows made this a great, cozy retreat.

Gorgeous views of the lake from a beautiful great room! Bed was comfy, kitchen fully equipped, and check in procedures were very clear! We loved exploring Vermont from the island. I can’t stress enough the stunning views in floor to ceiling windows facing the lake! We spent hours enjoying the views!!

The home was exactly as listed- photos do not do it justice. Just a very lovely, spacious and comfy place for us to base out of as we travelled to Stowe, Burlington and St. Albans and took in the spectacular foliage, road tripping thru the Vermont countryside. The view was enchanting. Night skies just phenomenal over Lake Champlain, especially from the deck. Loved every minute, would return in a heartbeat!

Perfection! The house/property/view was gorgeous, very clean and had everything we needed and more.

What a perfect place for our vacation! The house faces east, and every morning as I walked from the bedroom and turned the corner, I was greeted by a beautiful view. Some mornings the orange sunrise warmed the whole space, and other days the white of fog gave the room a peaceful muted tone. If you are an early riser, this is the place for you. The mountains layered in curves above the water change as the light changes. It's a beautiful place to spend a week away.

Peter’s place was great! Beautiful views of Lake Champlain. Was a great outpost from which to enjoy time in nearby Burlington and day hiking in the Green Mountains.

My husband and I loved this property. So comfortable and such amazing views. Great retreat. Our daughter joined us to relax and have dinner. We will be back.Peter was an amazing host. He was kind and helpful. I almost forgot that we lost power for a couple hours (along with 200 other people in South Hero). We will be back.

When you first walk in you are in awe of all the windows and the views they offer! The house itself is very clean and cozy. Don't miss out on this!

Stunning location with panoramic views. Quiet and peaceful yet within easy distance of shops, garage and several nice restaurants. Very comfortable and well equipped. Great host, very helpful. Highly recommended.

The view on Lake Champlain is magnificent. The owner is quick with communication. The kitchen is very well equipped. The entertainment system is top notch. Do not hesitate, book this lovely place and enjoy!

Beautiful property right on the lake.

Perfect location to get some quiet time

Wife and I stayed for almost a week.. and the place was outstanding. Beautiful location right on Lake Champlain.. The owner was very helpful while covering almost every detail in his instructions. We’d definitely love to return one day!

The house is beautiful in an idyllic setting! There isn't much to do in the area but the setting and peaceful surroundings were perfect for our weekend getaway! Two Heroes Brewery was perfect for a relaxing afternoon. We also indulged in the huge portions of ice cream at Seb's - yum! Peter, the host, was super responsive to our needs. Thank you for letting us stay in your home!

This property is beautiful! Nice house position with lots of huge windows providing terrific views of the lake. The owner (Peter) was great at responding and communicating with us before and during our stay.

Starry ridge was spectacular! Green grass meadow, beautiful lake and islands with the mountains after that. It doesn’t get any better than that. The house was perfect! Everything brand new, clean and modern. Our host was efficient

We had an incredible time on Hero Island. The location was great and easy to make trips into the Adirondacks, Stowe and Montreal while we were there. The owner was fantastic and kept an open line of communication. The property was just like the pictures! Would I stay there again......YES!

The home is clean and modern with an open plan, amazing artwork and lots of windows with amazing views to the bay and Green Mountains. We biked the causeway and visited Montreal and Burlington. I highly recommend this rental.

Had the most amazing get away at Peter’s property. The location and view couldn’t have been any better. The amenities were more than we could have ever wished for and we hope to make plans again in the future. The cleanliness and attention to detail made the property homey and comfortable. The wildlife was amazing during the day and at night as well. Peter was a great host . If you’re thinking about staying here, just do it!!

The home is beautiful, welcoming, clean and perfectly stocked for guests. This must see property, lake and expansive view of the mountains is breathtaking and provides an immediate sense of peace. We so appreciated being a part of nature seeing deer, rabbits and a fox on the property. This is a perfect location to retreat to while still being close enough to the Burlington area. Peter is a very responsive host - excellent communication. Peter's information before coming was accurate and easy to understand. The housekeeper is exceptionally nice, very quiet and there to help if needed. We will be returning to this wonderful retreat!
