Seascapes, the closest house to the Pancake Rocks, is right beside the beach. Light pours in from windows all around the two-storey home, with a different view from every aspect. Look west and there’s the Tasman Sea, to the south the Pancake Rocks and to the east towering limestone cliffs.

Stayed Mar 10, 2025The house worked out really well for our needs and was very well situated right near the beach. The view was great! The house was very nicely furnished and had just about everything we needed in terms of kitchen utensils, etc. I'd highly recommend this rental.

Stayed Dec 28, 2024Seascapes is just that - a lovely house with a private garden overlooking the sea. It is, though, a bit tired and could do with a refresh. For the price paid, it could do with two full bathrooms and a dishwasher

Stayed Dec 31, 2022Our group of friends loved our stay here! Many of us hadn't been to Punakaiki before and all love it now. The house is a perfect location with lots of different swimming spots, cave to explore, rivers, beach, pub, cafe, and blowholes all in walking distance. Amazing views of the ocean from the upstairs lounge, private backyard surrounded by bush with native birds, and little pathway to the beach. The house was clean and comfortable. We also appreciated that the kitchen was well equipped with plenty of plates, glasses, pots/pans etc for our group.

Quirky layout with two of the bedrooms in an annex that requires going outside & then back inside to access the bathroom/toilet. The space & location more than made up for this inconvenience. Loved it!

Stayed Dec 27, 2021This was such a brilliant holiday home in so many ways. Apart from the obvious gorgeous views of the sea and backdrop of the rocks, the upstairs living area was used to it's fullest with large wide windows to enjoy these views. The separate cottage just beside the main house was perfect for us as it housed a small family with a young baby and gave us all a bit of space. The private back yard surrounded by bush is part of the charm and access to the beach, pancake rocks and bush walks makes this the perfect getaway.
