What a location!  Gorgeous sparkling water views and by the main beach access point, easy peasy!  Sailor's Delight will thrill your coastal senses...you will love the large wraparound deck, sparkling water views, and the soaring ceilings found in this beach home.



The Space:

The great room is open with lots of windows facing the Gulf waters. To the rear is an open kitchen with a breakfast bar and laundry area with access to the wraparound deck from multiple doors to let in those sea breezes and surf sounds!



BED/BATH CONFIGURATION:

~ Bright and light primary suite with King bed and en suite bath (sleeps 2)

~ 2nd bedroom with Queen bed and shared bath with 3rd bedroom (sleeps 2)

~ 3rd bedroom with Queen bed and 2 x Twin over Twin bunkbed and shared bath with 2nd bedroom (sleeps 4)

Access the home electronically at 4pm on the date of your arrival with your unique lock code that we specifically give only to you via text and email. Your code is live from 4pm on your arrival date until 11am on the date of your departure.

The 979 Crew just loves this seaside and bayside community flanked by Galveston Island on one end and Surfside Beach on the other. On your drive, stop by the grocery store for your favorite grillables and beverages, make a pit stop at the bait shop to fill your bait bucket (great fishing in TI), and/or place a call to make arrangements to rent a golf cart - this is a very golf cart friendly spot. Enjoy the Gulfside's uncrowded pedestrian beach (no cars allowed for 300 yards but golf carts welcomed) where you can setup your group's camp for the day on the beach to build sandcastles, jump in the surf, find unique shells and sand dollars, boogie board, shore & surf fish and build an evening bonfire. Or if preferred, utilize the available launch for your boat or kayak or head to the fishing pier on the bayside. Some much to do so little time!



Getting Around:

SAN LUIS PASS:

San Luis Pass and Treasure Island have been known all over the United States for being a saltwater fishing hotspot and the most amazing sunrises & sunsets! It is 15 minutes from Surfside and across the bridge from Galveston's west end and only about 25-30 minutes to the heart of Galveston Island's activities. Most people come to the area to spend quality 'non-commercialized time with family, extended family, and friends!

When you rent a 979 home, you'll also receive the 'comforts of home' guest welcome starter supply of shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, tp and paper towels, dishwasher and clothes washer pods. We want your stay to be as easy as you do, and the 979 Crew aims to deliver on that commitment. We love our island guests!



PUP-FRIENDLY:

Bring Fido(s)! We welcome your furry friends (aka family members). Up to 2 well-behaved dogs are allowed at this home, subject to approval and a non-refundable pet fee of $100 per dog per stay.



WIFI/TV SERVICE:

Our properties include WIFI/Internet and TV service for your streaming services. Due to our location (Island living is a whole other way of life), service may be unpredictable or spotty, and repair times can be delayed. While we will do everything we can to ensure these items are in good working order before your arrival, please note, these services may not be as consistent as they are in your area. So grab your favorite people, ditch the electronics, and spend the day at our beautiful beaches!



979 VACATION PROPERTY SERVICES:

All 979 rental home follow local and state tax rules. Reservations may be booked up to 365 days in advance. Please send inquiry and details if more than a year out as rates and availability may not be updated. Each reservation includes applicable taxes, a cleaning fee, $1M liability protection and $10K damage insurance - and good news, No Security Deposit Required!



CANCELLATION POLICY:

When booking direct with 979, you may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund. Some exceptions may apply for last-minute reservations. After 24 hours, cancel at least 30 days before your check-in and receive a refund in your original form of payment less a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations within 30 days of check-in are non-refundable.



Reservations made on 3rd party channels/OTAs such as Airbnb, VRBO, Booking, Hopper etc may be subject to terms and conditions which may be different than 979's. When booking through a 3rd party channel, the cancellation policy you agreed to at the time of booking is the cancellation policy on your reservation.

    I had a problem when we first got there that it wasn’t that clean. I did finally reach out to them to just let them know and they told me I could’ve had somebody come in and cleaned again. Which would’ve been good.

    Loved the location and the property. Would have loved to be able to use the lift but it didn't take away from our time there. Just made it a little harder to get our stuff up the stairs. Also on the deck there were some nails and screws sticking up that just need too be knocked down. Other than that well probably come back to this house again next year.

    My best friend and I meet up at a beach at least once a year. I moved to Texas in February to the Dallas area so we choose Galveston. We have been here before and love the area. We had an emergency and immediately messaged the property people and promptly got a response that the place was still available for some extra days and they worked with us on the price! Great great customer service. Would recommend this house and this property management group to anyone. Thank you for all you did and we had a great time. We will be back

    We enjoyed our stay, the property was close to the beach and we were able to get all our gear there with no problem! It is a little far from everything, with no restaurants or shops close by, but it worked for us! Just get what you need before you go!
