Gorgeous location along the River! Peaceful and exactly what we were looking for.

Loved the location, loved all amenities such as spices, dish washer. Loved the fire pit and rope swing. Need better directions for finding place. My husband fixed upstairs shower as the shower head was blocked. He cleaned it and then it ran fine. He also tightened up door handle to back door cause it was loose. Wish we could have stayed longer.

The house is just minutes away from town in a quiet private area. We were very comfortable staying here . The kitchen is set up nicely and has a bar and ample dining table. The livingroom is very comfortable. The bedrooms are good size. Everything was clean and described. Will rent this space again when in the area

Beautiful waterfront. Having a canoe and two kayaks on property was great for the four of us. Didn’t see a moose though (much sadness). Nice kitchen layout. Baxter state park was only about a 30 minute drive. Host was great and helped us work thru any issues we had.

Although the cabin and property appear very nice, within a couple hours we noticed several issues. There's a smell inside like a wet dog. Dust and dog hair everywhere caused a pretty major asthma attack, which required a nebulizer treatment. Then late at night the mice came out and were running around and gnawing something. We had to leave after that one night. I will be seeking a refund immediately.

Our luck we pick the hottest week to rent a house with no air conditioning. However we made the best of it, the river kept us cool during the day and the fire at night kept us warm from the river breeze. We put the fans in the windows in the evening to cool the house down. At one point the master bedroom got to 94 degrees. We were only left enough propane out of 2 tanks for 2 meals which was a disappointment and we’re only left with 1 roll of paper towels. The house in spots needs some TLC, (front stairs, the light switch in the bathroom if worn causing the lights to flicker)but otherwise we truly enjoyed our stay at this secluded and peaceful rental

Dated and in disrepair. One shower did not work. Some windows did not operate properly. Screen on sliding door binds and falls out of track. Lights flickered and first floor bathroom light did not work properly even after i replaced the bulbs. Dog hair in dryer and on floor from previous guest. Location is good and quiet however I would not recommend.

Check-in was a breeze and the kitchen was well-appointed and very clean. Location is spectacular. A canoe and two kayaks were provided and we used them every day. If you want to see bald eagles, this is your place!

This is a beautiful secluded cabin in a prime location for Baxter State Park and rafting the Penobscot. The house inside is updated and well kept. The outside looks just like the picture. It is beautiful property and VERY quiet and secluded. I'm giving this a four star mainly because of comfort. Two things I look for these days are a good mattress and comfortable seating. Two of the three bedrooms were ok; however, in the bedroom with one bed and the day bed, both beds were like sway-backed horses. Definitely not good for sleeping. There was lots of seating in the main area with approx 8 seats or so not including the dining set. Unfortunately, there were only about 3 comfortable spots to sit and relax after a day of hiking. I want a nice comfortable sofa and recliner at the end of the day. If you only need two bedrooms for sleeping, I would recommend this property.

Property was in poor repair and in desperate need of a good cleaning. Unacceptable: Old and tattered sheets and towels. Filthy surfaces with dust and cobwebs. Bathrooms in need of both cleaning and updating. Hairs in sink and tub! Yard was unkempt with various junk stashed under porch. This house is on a RIVER, and it was highly recommended by locals to NOT SWIM in it, due to very strong currents. Nest doorbell with camera is downright creepy. Bottom line: we did not stay even 1 night because it was so dirty and will be asking for our money back.

We came to the area to go whitewater rafting on the Penobscot River. Millinocket is a small town with a great breakfast spot-The Appalachian Trail cafe. The only issue we had was that there was no air conditioning on a very warm day and holes in screens so there were mosquitos and moths in the house.

Absolutely loved our stay at this incredible property on the Penobscot River. The location was unbeatable—peaceful, remote, and quiet, yet just a short drive to downtown Millinocket. The house had everything we needed and more, but it was the outdoor space that really set it apart. From the rope swing and fire pit to the spacious deck overlooking the river, it was a dream setup for our family. The fishing was phenomenal, and we were lucky enough to spot bald eagles and loons while out on the water. My boys and I made unforgettable memories and were genuinely reluctant to leave. We’re already looking forward to a much longer stay next summer. Can’t say enough good things about this place!

Beautiful location and home. It is difficult to find the home though, and putting a house # at the start of the driveway or a cabin name would be a big help, especially when people are arriving at dark.

My husband and I stayed here with our adult daughter and her fiancé. The cabin was secluded yet close to town for food and a short distance to Mt Katahdin/Baxter State Park. We were able to enjoy a campfire in the evening and watch an eagle and loons in the morning along the river. The kitchen was fully equipped where we enjoyed cooking our meals together. There was plenty of space to spread out to talk, read or watch movies and beds were comfortable. We would stay here again!
