Katahdin Woods & Waters House - close to trails!

I really liked that there was everything in the house that we needed well stocked. Means less packing.

What a great house for our large group. It was the prefect layout for the 11 of us that shared the space. Next time we go to Millinocket i would love to rent this house again.

My partner and I stayed here while in town to hike Katahdin. The house was incredibly clean, thoughtfully stocked, spacious, and well-labeled. We were super comfortable and the distance to Baxter State Park is very reasonable (40 min to the southern gate). Would certainly stay again. Cali was so helpful and responsive. Thanks so much!

This venue supported our first family reunion since 1992 and it was so good to us. Some spent the night very well accommodated. Some day tripped. Staff Molly, Callie and Shannon were very helpful, easily allowing me to change one venue for this larger one. Clean, well appointed with everything we needed and more.

Great stay!

A lot of stairs for a senior to navigate. Spacious, and thankful for working a/c during some very hot weather.

Great house to use as a basecamp for our adventures

We had never been to this region of Maine before, and staying here was a great introduction for us. Written communication with the official host had been welcoming and informative, and her relative Cali who lives in town met us at the house and--when she realized we were open to advice--was generously full of tips on good places to go and things to do in the area. We followed up on several of these, and they were all wonderful; she was even willing to help us work out transporting kayaks since we couldn't do that with our rental car. We loved being in this house, which is very family-style (it doesn't have the impersonal, hotel-like flavor of many vacation rentals). Staying here really is like borrowing someone's happily lived-in home for a few days, so guests should decide if that's what they want, but it is our favorite kind and was fantastic for us.

Overall positive experience. The communication with the property manager was good. Location is good - center of Millinocket, close to everything the town has to offer. There were a few quirks that we needed to get used to around the house, but once we figured those out, the stay was ok.

Recently spent 4 nights at this rental and had a wonderful time! The house is very close to ITS trails so no need to trailer anywhere, could ride directly from residence. House was very clean and comfortable. Access to the garage to house our sleds at night and the basement room to keep all our gear were perfect!!Thank you for a great stay!

The stay was great and the snowmobiling was top notch and the best part of our stay was Cali she was the most accommodating host ever she ROCKS

This so our 8th time as a group to stay in the area. We ran the race and attended the events in town. We knew if we had any concerns we could reach a person in the area . we look forward to renting from them again !

We came for a family wedding in November, so we didn’t get much of a chance to take in all Millinocket has to offer, but loved that guidebooks and trail maps were provided. My husband, father-in-law and two small kids and I were very comfortable in the cozy and clean home. Cooking was easy with everything on-site. Everyone was warm and slept well! Cali made checking in and out a breeze. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again when we visit.

My Bestie and I were looking for a place to stay in the evenings after our daiy adventures. This place was perfect. Cali was so helpful. Check in was a breeze. The house was so big, super clean and comfortable. This will always be our go to when in the area.

Nice accommodations. Comfy beds, linens and towels. Good eating area and kitchen. Plenty of coffee!! Very nice host!

We had a greay stay. The house was clean, tidy, and in a great location.

Six of us booked this house for two nights, climbing Mount Katahdin the morning after our first night. The house was great, plenty of beds and showers, and close to the park. The dishwasher was key for our larger group and fueling up. The only caution I have is if you or someone in your party is sensitive to mold or musty smells, you may want to avoid the upstairs suite and the basement.

Great location for accessing Baxter State Park and white rafting. Also a short walk into Millinocket. It was just what we needed to enjoy our week's stay.

Another great stay in Millinocket! The house has suited our large party four years in a row. Perfect for hiking in Baxter and rafting the Penobscot. We love this place!
