The house and yard were adorable. Ellen was a gracious hostess and very good with communication. The downtown was wonderful with good restaurants and walkable from the house. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great place to go and get away from everything. Midway is a charming small town. Loved the limited technology, just what you bring, it’s a great way to live. Ms Skidmore’s house was charming and elegant. Her artwork is a very nice touch throughout. Highly recommended.

Second time staying at this home. Wonderful character and a wonderful host. The train is something to be aware of but in my mind adds to the charm.

We stayed here for the recent Railbird festival. It was clean, cute and good for our needs of this trip since we were not going to be there for meals and things.

This is such a beautiful historic home. Location couldn’t have been better for our days at Keeneland since we could go in the pretty back roads and miss the huge traffic jams. At night, we booked dinner in some fabulous small restaurants in Midway, which were just a few steps away. The home was comfortable and yes, the stairs are steep, but no problem for us. Would absolutely stay here again!

Beautifully appointed home in historical and charming Midway where art, restaurants (foodie delight), unique boutiques, quiet walks and pleasant greetings are plentiful. Downtown is just across the street to these conveniences. Taking a tour of a horse farm, Bourbon distillery or winery is only minutes away and well worth the time spent. Lexington is minutes away for all the attractions, but quite honestly Midway and this beautiful home provided such serenity that we felt this was a home away from home and it was hard to leave. The host is very warm and welcoming and we were treated like friends as if we've known each other our whole life. This entire trip has been memorable for the ages and this property and host were the little gem that made is absolutely perfect!
