Our cabin is set up to accomodate couples, friends and families with 'feel at home' lodging. It's a great place to bring your clubs and play golf or your fishing gear and take advantage of some of the best Salmon, Trout and Steelhead fishing in North America. The cabin is newly remodeled on the outside and beautifully decorated inside with a relaxing view of the Devils Hole bend of the Muskegon river. As an architect I am dedicated to the fine details for making your experience first class. We cater to anyone who enjoys spending time outdoors in a National Forest. We have all new stainless kitchen appliances, large flat screen HD TV with full cable and great wifi for internet connections, medium refrigerator inside and full freezer/refrigerator out the front door to create more room inside, air conditioning, washer/dryer, outdoor grill, firepit etc. to make your stay more comfortable. Our home is freshly remodeled from top to bottom both inside and out. It is exceptionally clean and completely furnished with everything you would need for a great stay. Please note the rate is for the first 3 people. I try to keep rates down for couple so they don’t have to pay to clean 5 beds. I spend a lot in cleaning to keep it how I would like it if I stayed here.

Our 850 s.f. cabin is situated at 2485 Muskegon Blvd on the steep high bank within the Devils Hole Bend of the Muskegon River. It is waterfront but only plan on veiwing river and not being able to access. We are upstream about 3.5 miles from the small town of Newaygo and a half mile below the Thornapple boat launch. Nestled within the Manistee National Forest our small neighborhood shares the Manistee with turkey, deer and black bear. Considered a fly fishing haven for brown trout, rainbow trout, steelhead and salmon, the river is suited to wading, drift fishing, kayaking and canoeing.
Enjoy an outstanding view down to the river while maintaining the feeling of total seclusion as your nestled within 100' tall hardwood trees. We are set up with 5 beds in 3 rooms (1 queen bed, 2 fulls and 2 twins), a fully stocked kitchen, linens and towels. We cater to those who want to spend a few relaxing days fishing, canoeing, kayaking and golfing. We have fishing guides if you are so inclined, I would not recommend being able to fish on the river in front of our cabin because of the steep access. Unfortunately we do not accept pets.

4 stars bc exterior could've been a little cleaner--but I get it--it's in the woods. The main fridge being outside was a little odd, but we made do. Very cute cabin, well-appointed--would stay here again!

My first time in a VRBO was an awesome experience! Super nice property with lots of peace and quiet. I had a few minor questions and the owner responded quickly to answer them. I highly recommend this property if your in the area for golfing, fishing, kayaking, or whatever your in to. Town is close by if you need anything.

Location was great because there are not a lot of motels near by. Great grocery store and ample restaurants.Very quiet and peaceful.

Our goal was to relax and sleep for a few days after a grueling moving process. We did exactly that! The neighborhood was very quiet, the river below was calming and we awoke to bird song every morning. The little cottage is tucked in among big trees so the house is a bit dark inside but we managed fine. We enjoyed our stay.

Brought the family up for a long weekend of steelhead fishing. Been fishing the Mo since I was a kid and enjoy playing guide for my wife and children! I've personally never fished steelhead this late in the spring season, but we managed to get into 25-30 fish over the 3 days with everyone able to boat at least one! The cottage has a great view of the river, was very nice, clean and comfortable. Thank you for the great hospitality!

We Love this cute little cabin overlooking the Muskegon river! This was our 2nd time there and we had snow each time. Cabin is very well equipped with everything you need and then some. It sits in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by trees. Town with restaurants and shopping is close by. Owner is wonderful with keeping in contact. We'll definitely be back!

Kyle was such a great host and easy to get ahold of! The property had beautiful views, a lot of wildlife, and surprisingly very little bugs! The kids enjoyed having a bunk bed and with two spare rooms my son also had his own space. The decor screams west side of Michigan and it was so nice to have a larger fridge and freezer in the shed. Plenty of room for a family traveling with all their things!

We wanted to spend a few days fishing and kayaking and getting away from the city. This lodge was perfect size and location for what we wanted to do. The only thing I wish they had dusted a bit better as it did bother my allergies.

We enjoyed our stay, it was convenient, close to Brooks lake and the river to fish and kayak along with being close to town. The bonfire was a great pit and the layout is so cute and comfortable, we will book again. The owners were great with communication.
