Stayed Aug 28, 2025My family had a great time at this property! Its small and cozy, perfect for a family and their pets. Super close to amenities, the lake, and the sxs trail head with lots of space for trailer parking. The house was clean and comfy and the fenced in yard was greay for our dog. A good find

Stayed Jul 30, 2025My family and I had an excellent stay at Ryan’s property! We found everything to be well taken care of and on point. Even with a group of seven of us, we found the home to have more than enough space for all of us. Centrally located in Houghton Lake, it was close to everything. Just a short ride around to the South State park for swimming. Conveniently located close to grocery stores and restaurants. We even took a short trip out to Merritt Speedway and had a fantastic time at the dirt track races!Ryan was a most gracious host, and was available immediately for the couple of small questions we had. The cottage was great! We thoroughly enjoyed the fire pit, and the garage game room. I highly recommend Ryan’s place and we will absolutely be back!

Stayed Aug 5, 2025Owner was nice but house was not cleaned like you would expect for the fee charged. Shower head broken, dishes looked greasy/dirty, Dog hair on couch cover, stains on sheets and blow up matress, wet towels left in dryer has to rewash twice and dry at time 5 times. House was so hot one air unit was not enough. Water pressure was horrible. So many spiders found inside the house. The concept is cute but needs a lot of work and upgrades. I would say it fits 5 to 6 people comfortably definitely not 8.

Stayed Aug 5, 2024We enjoyed this space as our home base and the location was great. House was just as advertised. The beds were comfy and the bathroom is nice. We enjoyed the game room garage as well! Would definitely choose this again if we come back to the area.

Stayed Aug 11, 2024Cute little house, great fenced in yard for the dogs, great communication with the host if needed. We needed a last minute place to stay cause we were going to our grandbabies first birthday. We walked to the lake on the first day and played in the water a little bit. We will definitely use it again and explore the area a little bit more.

Stayed May 24, 2024The inside of the place was great. the yard was knee high grass and a lot of ticks because the grass was so high.. so almost not able to use the yard. Full lof leaves that kept getting. Tracked into the house.
