PRIVATE OCEANFRONT RETREAT - LARGE DECK, PANORAMIC VIEWS, MINUTES FROM ACADIA

This is a special place tucked away by itself on the ocean, exactly as advertised. There are neighbors but they are far enough away that you don’t notice. I loved being able to walk right out to the rocks and see the ocean. We also thoroughly enjoyed the fire pit. The deck is lovely to lounge on as well. Place is very clean and has everything you need. It is not huge but big enough that you don’t feel cramped. Sometimes photos make things look bigger than they are, in this case the photos were accurate, the place is very nice. Schoodic peninsula is a short ride away and is very beautiful. There are not many places that I would go back to, but this might be one of them .

First time in Maine, property was great location, neighbors friendly & owner was responsive & provided plenty of information. Will definitely go back

Beautiful, cozy house with an amazing view. Close enough to the national park & Bar Harbor, yet secluded enough for relaxation and privacy. We had a very enjoyable stay and highly recommend to others visiting the area!

This was hands down the most beautiful place I haved stayed in Maine. Clean, quiet, close to bar harbor and schoodic. Wonderful friendly host. I cannot say enough good about it

We had an amazing stay at Stonehaven! The house was well equipped, the beds were comfortable, and ocean view was breath taking! Tom was an amazing host and was incredibly responsive. He is someone who goes above and beyond to ensure you have a good stay! We will definitely stay here again if we come to the Schoodic Peninsula! Just loved it!

Wonderful oceanfront property. My family of 5 enjoyed our time here!

We had such a great time and enjoyed our stay. We were only able to stay for a couple nights and will have to stay longer next time. This was our first ever trip to the northeast and absolutely fell in love with the views.

The house is very well appointed, with dramatic ocean views and very good privacy. The house is spacious, the bed in the master was very comfortable, and the grounds are beautiful--clearly a properly maintained property. The host was very communicative and helpful and provided great suggestions to take full advantage of the area.

We wanted a place to relax, as well as see Acadia national park. Stonehaven was perfect! It is a wonderful house in a great location that our entire family enjoyed. And the owner, and his neighbor who helps out, were fantastic! Would go back in a heartbeat!

Our group was a family of three generations ranging from 20-80. The house was very clean and was perfect for our stay. We checked out Acadia, nearby fishing villages, and the Schoodic Peninsula. It felt remote yet close to what we wanted to see at the same time and the views are beautiful.

Albeit our stay was too short, the view and closeness to the ocean alone were worth it. I highly suggest opening the hopper windows so you can hear the waves crashing from inside the place. We arrived on a Friday and left on a Sunday. Although it rained on Saturday, the experience made the place even cozier. It gave us full license to just relax and be. Naturally you can get provisions, we did buy some fruit, wine, cheese and crackers as well as ingredients to make a big breakfast at Winter Harbor Provisions. But there are nearby places to eat. We ordered pizza one night from The Wrinkled Pickle, which also had live music and a trivia night. We did make a fire in the fire pit on Friday night. Easy to do as Tom provided firewood. In fact, the owner's guidebook is quite helpful so be sure to check it out. It has directions for most everything you'll need and some recommendations to boot. I'd highly recommend everyone driving the Schoodic Loop as its so close by. I am already missing the place as I type.Some very minor suggestions - possibly update the games available. Most of them are outdated. Love to see Sorry, Battleship, and Chess, etc. And upgrade the single-ply toilet paper.

We are in love! My whole family loved the place, the beach, the fire pit, the stars, the morning view spotting some whales, the snow on the neighborhood Definitely the best place we have stayed!!! Once we are done visiting the national parks on our bucket list, we will definitely comeback for more…

We only stayed two nights but it was very nice. Clean. Good communication with owner. It was beautiful with clear blue skies so the ocean view was spectacular!

We stayed 2 nights in this beautiful home and visited Acadia National Park, including The Raven’s Nest which was a recommendation by the owner, Tom. Just stunningly gorgeous! The house is lovely, has everything you could possibly need or want and the views are amazing. Tom is a very accommodating host and the neighbor, Bill, is a very nice man that is available if you have any concerns at all. We just loved it, only wish we could’ve stayed longer! Will definitely be back.

We experienced a little slice of heaven in this amazing ocean-side home. Tom was a great host and provided us with tons of information about the home and all about the area. We were excited when we had a rainy day one of the days so we could relax and enjoy reading, doing a puzzle and watching the waves roll in. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Have been coming here for a number of years now; only had three nights this time but we sure took in everything this beautiful place has to offer; the Schoodic Loop, Tracey's, the cool water that seems to be going in different directions, and just simply enjoying the deck with the beautiful ocean ahead of you, will be back for certain.
