Gorgeous property in beautiful location. Everything you would ever need is available in the cottage. It keeps cool during extreme heat. The pool is large, clean and overlooks a chateau and countryside. The owners are very helpful and friendly. A very rural area, a car is definitely needed for exploration and shopping. Peaceful and relaxed stay, fully recommend.

Stayed during a heatwave. The property is beautiful and very well appointed. You only need to take clothes and toiletries everything else is there! The supermarket in montignac has everything you need! 10/10

We couldn’t sit out even with mosquito spray, citronella candles and smoke rings without getting bitten badly. We came prepared but didn’t think they would be as bad as they were but the house is surrounded by trees which Is they like.

The best accolade I could give this lovely property is that I would not hesitate to rent it again. We all had a lovely time. Weather so hot we spent most of our two weeks around the excellent pool - very clean, well maintained and a great supply of pool toys for the children plus more than enough sun loungers. Lots of outdoor space for two lively boys to run around. House was clean, comfortable beds and good showers. Well stocked. No complaints at all. Lorri and Dave were ideal hosts.

We received a warm welcome from the owners and we really felt at home during our stay. We loved the big garden and the pool with a very nice view. It's a very quiet and peaceful place to stay while there many things to do in the surrounding area. The house is well equiped and it's also child friendly for young children. We hope to come back some day.

We had a lovely holiday in the Vezere valley. There are lots of things to do in the area and Dave and Lori provided lots of great advice on days out and places to eat. We enjoyed a day canoeing on the Vezere, visiting the chateau at Castelnaud, the Marqueyssac gardens and the caves at Rouffignac, which the children liked because of the train that takes you down into the cave. We also enjoyed spending time at the house, which was really well equipped. The gardens are particularly lovely and there are several different seating areas to enjoy the views from. We all loved the swimming pool and there are inflatables and toys for the children to play with. We also made use of the badminton racquets and the table tennis table so there was lots there to keep the children entertained. We had a great holiday and would definitely recommend a stay at Le Chause Haut.

A well appointed and comfortable house to stay in for 2 weeks. Good showers, kitchen etc, and very good internet connection. Lots of sitting places around the outside of the house depending on the time of day and the temperature, so always easy to find some shade and cool. But the pool steals the show! A good size and depth, it is in an elevated position that affords amazing views across the valley. Nothing is too far away, and there are lots of things to do in the area, though we did drive over to near Rodez, 3 hours each away, to see a stage of the Tour de France. If you don'tnt mind a few hills, it's a great place to cycle! Dave and Lori are on hand and very friendly when you need them or just to ask for advice about different places to go to/shop.

This house gives the impression of being quite small but it really isn’t. There was plenty of space for a family of three generations. The outside space is beautiful - the views across the fields are absolutely stunning. The house is very well equipped with everything that you could need. The owners live next door and are on hand if you need them but don’t intrude on your holiday. Highly recommend.

An idyllic holiday spot with everything you would need. The house is homely and comfortable, and bigger than it looks from the outside. Dave and Lorraine were the perfect owners, they were very friendly and available if ever we needed them. The location of the property is perfect with lots to do in the surrounding area. The views are breathtaking, especially from the pool area. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
