The house was perfect for us 6 ladies. We really enjoyed our stayed. The host was very nice and attentive, even drove to us when we accidentally locked ourselves. Overall a great house for a weekend getaway, we had so much fun. Thanks so much!
Beautiful house. Well appointed. Everything we needed was there. Superb host. Just a really great experience.
Location is literally on a mountain side. In a residential but spread out area. Only down side is you literally climb and descend the mountain driving in and out. Sometimes you almost feel vertical and have to maintain speed to get up the inclines. I felt comfortable driving during the day but not at night. Roads narrow and you need to accommodate oncoming traffic by moving over to allow then by. Some people flew through area. Surrounding area was great. Truly wineries, breweries, orchards, shopping galore and all with in a 30 minute ride. Local town had what we needed for groceries and incidentals. House was as expected and the deck is large and a great hangout. The sun pounds the deck and house in afternoon so depending on time of year this is a pro or a con. Inside there are room darkening curtains in all areas and they are a godsend. The deck could use a table and umbrella for eating, just a suggestion. We had a bit of trouble with the entry door, the key pad only intermittently working but once we got to the key inside we were good. There also was a hornet nest near entry and a few got stung. We did buy wasp/hornet spray and took care of that for the owner. Read the reviews and you will have no surprises. It was what we expected. It was in a state of “updating” but 100% livable. We were all comfortable in beds. Kitchen was functional and we did prepare meals there. However it was not the cleanest but not filthy either…. To us it was acceptable. Our only real disappointment was the fenced yard and we did bring our dogs. The only problem was the lawn and weeds were overgrown and like 2 feet high in areas. When I brought to owners attention he said it gets cut every 2 weeks…. I would be following up with the company then… There is also no seating on the deck off master or in yard. Which being we were coming to hang w our dogs it would have been nice to have however the front deck is gated so they could hang there off leash also. And the home was super pet friendly. And… the last persons trash was in backyard and cans over flowing. There were no instructions as to where you could take trash to on way out. But we had a great time and everyone was comfortable. This did not appear to be a Only rented property but one lived in also so for some who have not been VRBO from the beginning may not have ever had that experience. We were happy and the location to activities was perfect. Just read the reviews!
Pleasant house.
Overall great experience
Very nice. Although very remote, the owner made every effort to make our stay very enjoyable.. beautiful views. Nice lower level. Thank you Nick.
We had a fantastic time at this beautiful mountain getaway. The host had everything we could have wanted for the comforts of home, even had toys and dog bowls for the pups! Short trek to the wineries, hiking destinations, and great restaurants, we will definitely be back!
Home was lovely and perfect for families and dogs!
Our host was very responsive and accommodating. He met us at check in and went through the whole house to show us where everything was located. He also brought over a new propane tank when we ran out. However, the house was not very clean - one of the showers had hair and the last guest’s open shampoo bottle, dust on surfaces, and overall clutter. They are also in the process of updating and adding very nice features, but almost every room was unfinished in some way, cracked tiles, unpainted walls, etc. Great host and location, house just needs deep cleaning and to complete rooms before moving to new projects.
Location had great views, many wineries were accessable. The weather (snow ice) kept us in on last 2 days so we couldn't explore area fully. A well stocked kitchen, beautiful showers and baths, and a fenced in back yard for our pooch. We really enjoyed our stay and location was quiet and restful.
