Tranquil mountainhouse w/hot tub, super close to trails & wineries- pet friendly

We were a group of 10 people with 2 infants and absolutely enjoyed our stay. The location is amazing, nestled in the woods with deers and birds visiting the property. The house had everything we needed from linens to towels to utensils and toiletries. The listing says 4 bedrooms, but the bunk bed area in the basement can also be considered an additonal room. Would definitely recommend this place when visiting Virginia/Shenandoah NP.

The house is wonderful and big enough to comfortably accommodate two families with kids. The kitchen is very well equipped. There are plenty of games for the kids to play with. The deck is with great views. All rooms have comfortable beds. The main bathroom is huge! And the hot top is wonderful. Overall, a great stay, very quiet but 15 mins from the entrance of the Shenandoah national park. The only minor issue was that I was not clear that the last mile or so of road to get there is unpaved, which might be challenging for smaller cars in winter. We will definitely come back!

Great hosts—quick response time, especially when we added a dog same day as our rental started! We would rent again and recommend to our friends and family!

The house was large enough to accommodate all the family! We did suggest a few things that would help-

Cleanliness a small concern, upstairs Vizio TV remote needs replaced, upstairs master bedroom light did not work. Kitchen sink sprayed water to side.

We had a wonderful time-the house was comfortable for all of us and our pets!

The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. The hot tub was clean! The home was as pictured. The host was available to answer any questions very timely. We enjoyed our stay tremendously!!!!

Great stay. House is well appointed. Every room well thought out and comfortable. The large bath and shower were luxurious. Nice spacious deck and great fenced backyard which our puppy loved. Ben was very responsive and helpful, flexible with check in and checkout. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay! Comfortable, clean, quiet, lots of space, and not far from Front Royal and Shenandoah.

Very well decorated. The biggest hit was the basement where the bunk beds were located. The children loved it. If we didn’t have children there, I probably would’ve hung out down there majority of the stay.

Impressed by the thoughtfulness of the amenities.There was everything we needed. Not 1 trash bag, an entire box. Not 1 dish tab, an entire package. Shampoo/body wash in every bathroom. Fire wood under the deck. Salt & pepper in the pantry. Paper towels, ice in the freezer, ect. Ect. Best part, the linens! Clean, fresh, modern sheets/blankets. Everything was perfect and made for a peaceful stay while visiting family in the area. THANK YOU!

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy mountain house with my wife and our two kids. Deer with their fawns often came close to the house, which was such a magical sight. A beautiful tree was blooming right in front of the terrace, adding to the charm of the place. The location is perfect — just a short drive to the park, wineries, river rafting, and other attractions. Highly recommended for a peaceful family gateway.

We had an incredible time at this property and would absolutely stay here again.The house was as advertised in pictures and the post. Lots of room for different groups of people to hang out, play games, stream videos, etc. The hot tub was also very nice!There was one big thing that wasn't advertised, but we adored — the huge Mimosa Tree that was blooming on the property. The flowers and how the sun hit that tree were incredible, making an already amazing stay even better.

We loved our stay at the Musical Mountain House! Plenty of space for two families and we were not too far from Shenandoah National Park! We also appreciated all the little extras throughout the house such as shampoo and body wash in the showers and plenty of the kitchen condiments that are a pain to pack! Would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay! We traveled with family ranging from ages 11 and everyone had plenty of room to spread out and be comfortable. Beds were comfy. Lots of entertainment for the kids (games, books, tv, etc) Beautiful location. Close to where we needed to be to visit family. Check in was easy. Communication with host was great. Our family traveled from both Southern Illinois and Maine to come together to attend a family wedding in Middleburg, VA. The Musical Mountain House was just perfect for our stay. It was clean, beautifully decorated, and the beds were so comfortable! The bunk room couldn’t have been anymore perfect for my grandkids. The hot tub was such a nice addition too! The house is located just where we needed…close to the wedding venue, and also close enough for some sight seeing in Shanendoah State Park and a couple days visiting DC. We always had enough hot water for all nine of us to shower, and the kitchen is stocked with all the necessities to eat in if you like. We would highly recommend a stay at the Musical Mountain House if you’re are planning a trip to the Linden, VA area!!

We had to be in the area for a retirement party on our anniversary weekend, so we combined the two and found this great place. The house is very well appointed, and has quality items for guest use just as you would have at home. We did not need for anything. We used the hot tub a lot, which is really saying something about cleanliness. I'm picky. We were even able to to get delivery from The Apple House(donuts are a do not miss). We found a great little Italian restaurant, Girasole to celebrate in a quaint town called The Plains. There are amazing views of mountains and the Shenandoah river around every corner.

We stayed in Ben's mountain home for four nights in april. The home was very welcoming and there was plenty of space to sleep and relax. It is is located close to the shenandoah national park and some wonderful wineries, making it conveniently located for both adventure and relaxation.

This house is beautiful in pictures, but even better in person. Great for a large family with children. We loved our stay here…we had everything we needed. The decorations and furniture are so nice. Thanks for a great stay!

We had a lovely weekend snowed in at this beautiful mountain home. With help from the hosts and kind neighbors, we were able to get home safely after a big snow storm, and def recommend 4 wheel drive for those going in winter! Will definitely return!

Our family and friends had a great time in the home! It was conveniently located to many nearby wineries, breweries, and charming towns. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. We had plenty of room for 9 people and our fur babies. The beds were comfy, and we had plenty of places to store our stuff. Thank you for a fun place to meet up with friends and bring in the New Year!

Such a nice, family & pet-friendly house up in the woods, and perfect for our Christmas gathering. There was plenty of space for our group of six. We especially loved the fireplace, the comfy beds, and of course, the hot tub! Kitchen had everything we needed too and a door that goes right to the fenced portion of the yard which was super convenient! We had a great stay.

Beautiful cozy home with a fantast view. Fenced in deck (our dog loved it as well as the fenced in yard)! Great location for day hikes!

The house was great super fun for cousins to play and stay and close to amazing nature.

Had a bday celebration for two 11 yo girls. We ate well - Apple house - talk of the mountain - spelunkers! The hot tub was nice, beds clean and comfy and cute decor. Our kids enjoyed the bunk beds and there was room for them to all 3 sleep on the lower section. Saw a bunny, deer and a fox! Enjoyed the swing.

We were visiting our son in Linden and didn’t want to stay in a hotel. Found this VRBO and it was exactly what we were looking for. Although it was very ‘remote’ with lots of unpaved roads, we could get to where we needed to be in minutes! The property was well equipped (as advertised) and had everything we wanted and more! Beautiful views, comfy beds, large furnished deck and plenty of room for family and friends. Ben was a great host and was always available and responsive to any questions/issues we had! We will definitely be back!
