Plus, it's just a short walk right to the long stretch of beach those who have visited Treasure Island before know and love.



Inside, you'll discover all kinds of island oasis charm from stunning fresh coastal decor and furnishings to towering ceilings and all the amenities you need to enjoy your escape! And...we haven't even touched on the sunrises and sunsets you'll never forget from the many windows and porches adorned with comfortable outdoor furnishings to relax and breathe in that fresh coastal air. The 979 Crew just loves this seaside and bayside community flanked by Galveston Island on one end and Surfside Beach on the other. On your drive, stop by the grocery store for your favorite grillables and beverages, make a pit stop at the bait shop to fill your bait bucket (great fishing in TI), and/or place a call to make arrangements to rent a golf cart - this is a very golf cart friendly spot. Enjoy the Gulfside's uncrowded pedestrian beach (no cars allowed for 300 yards but golf carts welcomed) where you can setup your group's camp for the day on the beach to build sandcastles, jump in the surf, find unique shells and sand dollars, boogie board, shore & surf fish and build an evening bonfire. Or if preferred, utilize the available launch for your boat or kayak or head to the fishing pier on the bayside. Some much to do so little time!

SAN LUIS PASS:

San Luis Pass and Treasure Island have been known all over the United States for being a saltwater fishing hotspot and the most amazing sunrises & sunsets! It is 15 minutes from Surfside and across the bridge from Galveston's west end and only about 25-30 minutes to the heart of Galveston Island's activities. Most people come to the area to spend quality 'non-commercialized time with family, extended family, and friends!

When you rent a 979 home, you'll also receive the 'comforts of home' guest welcome starter supply of shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, tp and paper towels, dishwasher and clothes washer pods. We want your stay to be as easy as you do, and the 979 Crew aims to deliver on that commitment. We love our island guests!



PUP-FRIENDLY:

Bring Fido(s)! We welcome your furry friends (aka family members). Up to 2 well-behaved dogs are allowed at this home, subject to approval and a non-refundable pet fee of $100 per dog per stay.



WIFI/TV SERVICE:

Our properties include WIFI/Internet and TV service for your streaming services. Due to our location (Island living is a whole other way of life), service may be unpredictable or spotty, and repair times can be delayed. While we will do everything we can to ensure these items are in good working order before your arrival, please note, these services may not be as consistent as they are in your area. So grab your favorite people, ditch the electronics, and spend the day at our beautiful beaches!



979 VACATION PROPERTY SERVICES:

All 979 rental home follow local and state tax rules. Reservations may be booked up to 365 days in advance. Please send inquiry and details if more than a year out as rates and availability may not be updated. Each reservation includes applicable taxes, a cleaning fee, $1M liability protection and $10K damage insurance - and good news, No Security Deposit Required!



CANCELLATION POLICY:

When booking direct with 979, you may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund. Some exceptions may apply for last-minute reservations. After 24 hours, cancel at least 30 days before your check-in and receive a refund in your original form of payment less a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations within 30 days of check-in are non-refundable.



Reservations made on 3rd party channels/OTAs such as Airbnb, VRBO, Booking, Hopper etc may be subject to terms and conditions which may be different than 979's. When booking through a 3rd party channel, the cancellation policy you agreed to at the time of booking is the cancellation policy on your reservation.

    We loved the property! Everything we needed was there and locations were labeled so no searching. A big thank you to the cleaning crew - everything was spotless! The views from every porch and balcony - there were 4- were amazing. And the ramp instead of stairs was a big plus. The dogs loved racing each other to the top. Thank you to the 979 crew for having us. Hopefully we can return next year.

    Very good rental if you’re bringing pets and want something affordable in this neighborhood. Cleanliness was top notch. Some wear and tear but that’s expected near the beach! Our only downfall was the ramp, it was a little steep trying to get a baby carrier up and down. Overall I would recommend and stay again!

    We have stayed in this neighborhood for several years now this was our first time as a smaller group so we chose this smaller house and it did not disappoint. Very organized and stocked with all the essential items needed. Great location easy access to the beach, with amazing views from every deck.

    The views from this house are amazing. The decks are nice with the screens since the mosquitos can be pesky. The house has everything you would need. However, on arrival the access code didn’t work (quite frustrating with the long travel). When we did enter the home is was very hot and the smell of mold hit us. The only part of the house that cooled off nicely was the upstairs (which was odd to us). The bed in the downstairs room broke on day 3, thankfully I brought a sheet for the pull out bed. The last night the breaker tripped in the downstairs bedroom, we are pretty sure there is a leak in the wall since we had water leaking on the stove top and the smell. The hosts were very responsive but it was a bit of an inconvenience to have to correspond with them so much during our vacation. The house was nice just needs some maintenance on some of the furnishings. If the downstairs area matched the upstairs it would have been perfect.

    This is our 2nd time staying and we absolutely love it. We plan on returning again next summer. Our only complaint is that the new house next-door has so..many outdoor lighting that it totally ruined sitting on the screened in deck at night and watch the stars. Don't understand why they have too have that many porch lights on.

    The house was clean, comfortable and ideally situated. The kitchen was very well appointed. We enjoyed a family get together just steps from the beach. Easy access to San Luis Pass too. We would definitely book this home again!

    Cannot say enough positive things about the home itself! It was beautiful, clean, had every convenience! The book (awesome idea) helped us with any questions we had including how to access the beach and where to take our trash! The only negative of our trip at all was all the gosh darn mosquitos if you book here (and you absolutely should) take lots of bug spray!

    It was the most relaxing way to spend our anniversary. The fact that this house is so close to the beach makes it amazing. We took our two little pups who had a great time. The views were absolutely lovely.

    Well kept and clean home, perfect for a couples getaway! Even with mosquitoes prohibiting us from “beaching it up” in September, we had lovely views of the ocean from screened in balconies on all sides of the home. Highly recommend! We will certainly book here again!

    The house is really nice! It’s a little walk to actually get to the beach since they moved the beach access. Was perfect for our family of 5! Make sure you bring extra blankets and lots of trash bags! The ice machine never re filled so bring ice! We really enjoyed our stay!
