Your ocean and beachfront escape begins here at Pelican's Paradise! There is a whole lot of room inside and out for your group of up to 12 to relax and play in the sun, surf, and seaside sand! This well-maintained coastal themed home offers multiple decks to take in the spectacular views plus your own private pier walkover/boardwalk right out to the sand and sea!

Just chillin' beach bar and grills, food (and beverage) trucks (like Surfin Rita Daiquiris To-Go), burger joints (like Pier 30 and Beachfront Deck Bar & Grill) and tasty fresh seafood options (like Seahorse Bar & Grill and Red Snapper) line the water. Surfside is your simple relaxing sandy beach, water sporting, surfing, fishing and crabbing vacation destination.

Every home is fully and professionally cleaned after each guest stay. In addition, all of our homes feature luxury hotel-quality/high thread count on all sheets, bedding, and bath towels which are replaced upon every turnover including the duvet covers and shams (we've heard not every company does this, and we think that's just gross). We take clean seriously! When you rent a 979 home, you'll also receive the 'comforts of home' guest welcome starter supply of shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, tp and paper towels, dishwasher and clothes washer pods. We want your stay to be as easy as you do, and the 979 Crew aims to deliver on that commitment. We love our island guests!



PUP-FRIENDLY:

Bring Fido(s)! We welcome your furry friends (aka family members). Up to 2 well-behaved dogs are allowed at this home, subject to approval and a non-refundable pet fee of $100 per dog per stay.



WIFI/TV SERVICE:

Our properties include WIFI/Internet and TV service for your streaming services. Due to our location (Island living is a whole other way of life), service may be unpredictable or spotty, and repair times can be delayed. While we will do everything we can to ensure these items are in good working order before your arrival, please note, these services may not be as consistent as they are in your area. So grab your favorite people, ditch the electronics, and spend the day at our beautiful beaches!



979 VACATION PROPERTY SERVICES:

All 979 rental home follow local and state tax rules. Reservations may be booked up to 365 days in advance. Please send inquiry and details if more than a year out as rates and availability may not be updated. Each reservation includes applicable taxes, a cleaning fee, $1M liability protection and $10K damage insurance - and good news, No Security Deposit Required!



CANCELLATION POLICY:

When booking direct with 979, you may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund. Some exceptions may apply for last-minute reservations. After 24 hours, cancel at least 30 days before your check-in and receive a refund in your original form of payment less a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations within 30 days of check-in are non-refundable.



Reservations made on 3rd party channels/OTAs such as Airbnb, VRBO, Booking, Hopper etc may be subject to terms and conditions which may be different than 979's. When booking through a 3rd party channel, the cancellation policy you agreed to at the time of booking is the cancellation policy on your reservation.

    Beautiful house, beautiful scenery, excellent host. Everything was just as described in the listing. Lots of space, direct access to the beach. Check-in was a breeze with the door code. Highly recommended!

    Had another house booked but it was cancelled by another company less than 24 hours before we were to arrive. Found this house was available and booking was so easy and they communicated with me instantly. They really saved our vacation. We have been coming to Surfside/Freeport every year for 35 years and stayed in so many different rentals. This was by far the easiest I’ve dealt with. House was exactly as described and it was the top cleanest we’ve ever had. Perfect beach view and easy access to get to the beach. 6 of us went and plenty of beds. Only thing I’d change would be to add recliners or a sectional couch in living room, it was comfortable but needing additional seating/recliners to watch tv. Would definitely recommend using 979 rentals again. They even left a gift basket with soaps, shampoo, coozies and detergent.

    We stayed at Pelican Paradise during its previous incarnation and love what the new owner has done with it. San Luis Beach is quieter and roomier than the Village of Surfside, which we stuck with for 60 years. Weekdays, the beach was gloriously empty. During two brilliantly sunny days, the mostly well-behaved crowds appeared, which is something for February. Love the potable water from the new well and the icemaker (which needs a fix).
